@LawBee11 @Mrs.Someone @Alivoo01: How did you tell DH? or was he there when you POAS?
Is anyone planning a surprise for DH?
clementine / 854 posts
@Alivoo01: I think I'm going to wait until Thurs or Fri to test. I got a BFN yesterday at 10 dpo, and I'm terrified to see another. If I don't get a BFP this month, we're taking two months so I can be in a friend's out of town wedding next fall. Not to mention, this is my last cycle to get pregnant before what would've been my due date if I hadn't miscarried.

@MrsCastro: Umm I basically ran into the living room screaming OMG OMG I think I see a second line! So...not very original! I had ordered this set from his favorite soccer team, and I am planning to surprise him with it tonight (since I couldn't keep calm enough to give it to him last night!):

Ok ladies, I think I am ready to be added to the list. AF is due Dec 12 but because my cycle is a bit off so it could be up to a week later. I don't think I want to test until Christmas (I want to enjoy Christmas with just my one baby). So I guess add me to the list for the 26th. We have an August 2011 baby so if we get a BFP this cycle they would be exactly 24 months apart.

@Mrs.Someone - WOW!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! There is so much positive BFP going around right now, I am DYING TO TEST!!!!! I am 8DPO right now so know I'm probably way too early.
@MrsCastro: I have a nhl baby onesie ordered (DH is a big blackhawks fan) that says: "I'm told I'm a blackhawks fan". It's not in yet which is the only way I'm holding back from testing...I couldn't hold a secret very long!
I think it would be cute to hang up his jersey, my jersey, and the onesie on the clothesline so he sees it when he comes home from work.
Or he's always ordering these stupid free t-shirts from cereal boxes but they take months to come in so he always forgets about them...I could 'fake' a box and put it inside?
Thoughts??

@Thehistoryofus: Yay! We're AF date twins Though I won't be able to hold out until Christmas to test!! Kudos to you!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@futuremama: I completely understand that disappointed feeling!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you though and wishing you the best! *hugs*

So all the positive vibes on here made me curious to test... (MAN those early response tests are expensive!!!!) Of course - BFN (I'm only about 8DPO) but I was expecting that so am not too sad.
I bought 4 tests, so have promised myself I'll hold out until 11DPO, 13DPO, and then 15DPO (When AF is expected).

@MrsCastro: DH has been wanting a watch & I told him that sounds like something a Dad would wear & that I would get him one if he got me pregnant He found one a few months ago that he liked so when the Christmas specials came around I went and ordered it. I plan on giving it to him the same way he gave me my engagement ring. First its going to sit on my desk forever so every time he comes in my office he is going to see it and wish it was on his wrist and not in a box on a desk! Then when the time comes (BFP) I will sneak up behind him get down on one knee and say congratulations papa. At least that is the plan. What will probably happen is what happened to @lawbee11:

@Mrs.Someone: Congrats on your BFP! I just started herbs and acupuncture 2 weeks ago. I'm so happy it worked for you and I'm hoping it will work for me too! How long were ttc before trying acupuncture?

@Mrs.Someone: Nevermind, I looked back and you said 9 months. That is so exciting! That gives me hope!

Just an update from me... after months of semi-regular cycles, I have no idea what is going on at the moment. I'm currently on Day 40 of my cycle; I had the start of fade-in on my OPKs just before a trip in the middle of November but I'm thinking that flight and stress during and after the trip must have postponed my O. Hubby and I decided that we would just BD anyway on the off chance that we didn't miss O - I haven't done OPKs to verify anything.
Here's where you guys come in... at what point would you start POAS if AF doesn't arrive? We started BDing on the 1st. 15th? 16th? Later?
Haha should have known that things are never that straight forward.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@SweetMamaM: Wow, day 40? I am usually a regular 28-30 day cycle so I would have been testing by day 30!
cherry / 141 posts
Well I'm out. I was sick for most of this cycle and it was the first after m/c so I didn't have much hope. At least it was a regular 28 days. On to January. I will be crossing my fingers for the rest of the December ladies! Good luck!

@savanarunner: I'm sorry to hear you're out, but at least it looks like your cycle is regulating itself so that's fantastic news. Best of luck next month!!

I've officially entered the TWW and I am trying to resist the obsession! Do you walk around wondering if there is a 1 day old baby in you after ovulation? Or is that just me! Lol

@runnerd: I do that! I talk to it sometimes too...

Hi bees, does anyone get those lower abdominal cramps/contractions after ovulation?
I've been getting them for a good while now (wayyy back before i even knew what ovulation cramps were) and i just found out these are called endometrial or subendometrial contractions, and now i can't help but wonder if its normal. Anyone have ideas?
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@runnerd: um. guilty! Every month too so it wasn't just once or twice occurrence. Ha!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Beetones: I did last week, but apparently they were implantation/fertilization cramps?? I never experienced them until last week. It felt more like little popping sensations, I guess?
pear / 1743 posts
@Thehistoryofus: lol me too usually, but we were using the good old pull and pray before the 1st so the chances aren't all that likely that I'm knocked up enough for anything to register (or knocked up at all!)
clementine / 770 posts
@Alivoo01: as much as i would LOVE to get excited about it possibly being implantation cramps, i have to say that since i always noticed it back when i wasnt even BD-ing but thanks to TTC-ing awareness i noticed that i got them at like 1-2 DPO, it can't possibly be implantation......
olive / 55 posts
Hi Ladies! Just wondering how often do you BD during your fertile period? I think I'm 5 days till ovulation (it's go time!) and not sure if we should do an every other day or an every day schedule.
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@Mrs Bicycle: We only BD'd twice during my fertile window...we did an EOD schedule (at night O-2 and in the morning on O day) and it worked! Good luck!
pomelo / 5132 posts
@runnerd: I'm with you! I'm in the TWW and DH thinks I am a total loon and obsessed...which I am.
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
@Beetones I had what I'm HOPING was implantation cramps on Monday. It was almost period-like but not quite as strong (kind of like AF was on her way), lasted about an hour. I never get them mid-cycle so it was really out of the ordinary.
DH thinks I'm nutso though
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Mrs Bicycle: We BD'd 3 times during our BFP cycle: O-3, O-1, and O day (although it might have actually been O-2, O, and O+1). We were aiming for every other but just happened to do two in a row.
nectarine / 2063 posts
I am getting so anxious to join in all the fun! AF should show either tomorrow or Friday & I am having surgery Friday. I really hope that doesn't effect O which would normally happen around CD 12-14. CRAP I just realized that my TWW will send me to JANUARY 4th! YUCK I'm still going to stick it out & see what this month brings us.
