@Raspberries: Thanks! I'm hopeful for September.
Best of luck to everyone who's still waiting to test!

@raspberries great job!! you are a lot stronger than I am. I tested again this morning, I should tell my husband to hide my pregnancy tests from myself haha

@MrsADS: If it makes you feel any better, my OB suggests every other day...and no more.

@MrsADS: I will spare you from the inordinate amount of graphs I have but most show that EOD is nearly as effective as ED.

@raspberries: I'm reading Outlander! Had no idea there was a tv show untill I saw another tread on the boards! if you haven't read the books I highly recommend them!
Still no AF, 2 days late which is very unusual for my but I took a digi this morning and it was negative... so I have no idea what's going on! I only hope AF shows today if it's not meant to be.. Testing again tomorrow morning!

Hmmm no surge yet so I guess I'm not going to O today. Hoping to get a positive opk today at least.

@mrsvdv: Oh my gosh, that's only one of my favorite books of all time!!! Are you watching the show too? I specifically added Starz to our cable package just to watch it, haha. And here's hoping AF stays away
@Ashleyf21: Ha, that's a good idea - if only FRERs weren't so expensivr

@raspberries I bought the wondfu pregnancy test strips and they are $20 for 50! They are apparently the ones doctors use. So since I didn't pay much for them it turned me into having a poas addict lol

I know it's late to join in, but I've only been off BC for three cycles now so I'm still learning my cycles!
Cycle Day: 19
TTC Cycle #: 1 (waiting to try for 1.5 years now due to work)
POAS date: 8/24?
Baby #1
Your plan this month: Temping, Charting, OPKs / Clearblue monitor, lots of BD! We hit O, O-2, O-3, and O-5..... I'm a teacher and it was the first week of school, so I am amazed we were able to stay awake long enough, haha!
apricot / 431 posts
@simplyfelicity: thank you I've been thinking about you a lot, how are you doing?
I think I'm out, started spotting today - although it's very light and barely there when I wipe I do feel AF-like cramps. Maybe I'll still test just to be sure it's negative. I'm trying to stay positive and trust my faith.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@DesertDreams88: welcome. I'm a teacher too and it was my first week too. Also my toddler is sleeping like crap because he's teething so we are really struggling to BD! We've hit 0-5, 0-3, 0-1 and hopefully today which should be O day. It definitely feels like a chore when you are this tired. to you!

@travellingbee: We really are cycle twins! I got a positive OPK today too. I'm frustrated, though, because this is much earlier in my cycle than I've ever Od or had a positive OPK before. I went straight from blank circles to a solid smiley (totally skipped the blinking smileys!). My ovulation has been pretty reliably between days 16-18. We thought we were going to BD it up this cycle and if I do O tomorrow, we'll only end up getting O-3 and O-1. Not bad but I wish it were more. On the other hand, I haven't seen any EWCM at all yet and I usually do--so either an unusually early O or an unusually long surge.

@DesertDreams88: Awesome timing! I was a teacher for the past 6 years and remember that first week exhaustion well! Way to power through, haha.

I'm out hopefully next month is my month! Good luck to the rest of you August ladies!
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@mrsvdv: Thanks. It sucks but I am trusting that God has a plan for this. I am sorry about AF. How many cycles have you been trying?
grapefruit / 4361 posts
@travellingbee, @angelachase, and @mrsvdv : thanks for the welcome and well wishes!
My husband is also a teacher and so thankfully he understands and has the same schedule. We're both sitting at the kitchen table doing lesson plans right now..... my school is on an improvement plan, so it is stress central! They're requiring page-long lesson plans for each lesson, each day. I'm hoping that it's just to "start the year off right" and then admin will back off, but we'll see.

@simplyfelicity: this is month 6.. I got pregnant with DS the 3rd cycle so I just assumed it would be like that this time around. I feel guilty for feeling sad about ttc not working (yet) because I already have a beautiful son! But like you I do believe God has a plan for all of us, we just have to let go and put our trust in Him. It's something I really try every day but it's so hard!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@mrsvdv: I think it's perfectly valid to feel frustrated when ttc any child, whether it's number 1 or 4! You shouldn't feel bad. to you!
My chart is a mess. I'm not sure why the random high temps these past two days but I know I'm ovulating today based on yesterday's OPK and ovulation pains.

@bigskygirl @simplyfelicity Thanks ladies. I think our BD would probably be sufficient.
So I totally had a huge breakdown tonight... just found out ANOTHER friend is having her 2nd baby, and they've been married for less time than me and DH. We came home and I just cried my eyes out. Even with good BD timing and knowing I'm ovulating, I can't get pregnant if my luteal phase continues to be just 8 or 9 days. Sigggh. EVERYONE I know is getting pregnant.
grape / 92 posts
@mrsads I know EXACTLY how you feel! I was at a baby shower today and went to the bathroom and cried for a few seconds. The stress of trying is already hard enough but when everyone around u keeps getting pregnant right away it makes it so hard not to get upset. My husband doesn't understand why it always makes me so sad, so it's nice to know I'm not the only one feeling this way! I'm so happy for my friends and family members that just became pregnant these past few months, but it's hard to be happy when everyone around you is getting what you so desperately want. I keep telling myself that it's not meant to happen yet, and when it's meant to happen it will. Just know that I completely understand where you are coming from and how hard it is
apricot / 306 posts
@MrsADS: I feel you. I'm trying really hard to fight off the jealousy--in some ways I feel like TTC invites me to be my worst self and I hate that.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@angelachase: hmmm are you temping? I'm curious to see what's going on and if you are Oing early... Sorry about the timing but it doesn't sound bad at all!
apricot / 431 posts
Full AF today so I'm officially out! I'm feeling less sad about it today, every time I think about it I remind myself that I have to let go.. maybe that's working?!
Anyway August isn't over yet so I hope we see a LOT more BFP's in the next few weeks!!!
apricot / 306 posts
@travellingbee: Yeah I'm temping. Had a slight rise today so it's possible I even Od yesterday? If so this would be one wacky cycle. I normally O the day after a positive OPK, so if it was yesterday, that would mean I Od 3-4 days early after a very sudden (and apparently strong!) surge. At least we got started early this month! If we had started even a little later we would have totally missed the window.

AF hasn't arrived yet but I got a BFN today. According to me RE I did ovulate this month even though my temps were low all month. We BD'd 2 days before ovulation and then DH got into a bike accident (he's ok!) so that was the only time we were able to do it near ovulation. I'm hoping AF shows up soon because I'm going on vacation in Mexico on Saturday.

@sheskrafty: ya never know! a trip to mexico sounds very nice though!
I think I'm 8dpo today- no symptoms whatsoever except for a ravenous apetite....but it's still way too early to even be a symptom, so we'll see

Question for you ladies. I'm on CD 11 and am having some ewcm, that what it seems to be at least. But I have 30-day(ish)
Cycles and in the past O'd around CD 19. I think my shortest cycle ever was 29 days.... What the heck?
honeydew / 7235 posts
@NovBaby1112: no I haven't started yet since its too early! Maybe I will use one when I get home tonight to see!

Well, I got the ok to continue my meds while TTC! We'll see how this month plays out!
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@hellobeeboston: yea I would start just to make sure! Maybe you are gearing up to ovulate earlier than normal this cycle?
grape / 86 posts
I just got my FRER in the mail from amazon. I am really wanting to test tomorrow morning, but I think it is still a tinge early. I am on CD 24 and I had my positive OPK on CD 13, so tomorrow would be 11 DPO as far as I can tell. Thoughts?
