I think I'm going to stop temping for the rest of this cycle. I temped this morning and it was 97.3--WAY down to a low pre-O temp. I thought maybe the thermometer was too cold from the AC so I stuck it under my arm for a minute, then re-temped: 97.7. It is too frustrating to agonize over whether my temps are too low, which one is accurate, etc, so I think I'm just going to stop for now until AF shows (or not--but probably).

@angelachase: whoa, maybe you didn't actually O? How confusing! My temps have been erratic too but above the cover line.
apricot / 306 posts
@travellingbee: I've been wondering the same thing (if I didn't O). I had a positive OPK, slight cramps/pains, and CM that progressed from creamy to watery, but my temps have been much lower than my usual post-O pattern and really erratic, even changing a lot if I temp at, say, 6 AM and again at 6:30 AM. I also always have really sore boobs immediately post-O, and this time do not. I don't know if it's me or the thermometer, but I don't want to keep driving myself crazy for another week.

@angelachase: I think that makes perfect sense and isn't going to give you any information anyway. Wait a week and test if AF doesn't show, I think.

I'm 12DPO. The wondfos for the last three days have been negative and my FRER this morning was negative. Since my period is only 2-3 days away and the FRER was neg., I'm probably out though I won't know for sure until AF's arrival.
I have had no pregnancy symptoms, but my temp dip on 9DPO and my rising temperatures since then made me hopeful...... the hope is still there but it's tempered.
Here's my chart, though I think my coverline should be at 97.5.

Tested again today, BFN at 10 dpo. I just got back from a weekend away and did this afternoon even though I know I should have waited until tomorrow morning. I'm going to give a day and test again on Tuesday if I'm still in.
Boo, August sure has been a bummer month.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
I guess there's not too many of us left in August... I'm feeling very pessimistic this morning. My temp is down (but not below cover), I'm not feeling pregnant, I'm 8 dpo and anxious for this week to just be over.

I'm pretty upset. I think I'm out. I started spotting again today. So I guess this is my new pattern. It totally sucks to have spotting and cramps for a week before your bleeding and cramps.... I feel like I could cry...

@travellingbee: oh no I'm so sorry! Maybe it's implantation spotting? Big hugs to you

@travellingbee: I'm sorry love. No words of advice, just lots of hugs.

@mrsvdv: that's what I thought last cycle. But no. I'm going to try to a progesterone cream I guess. The tube says not to if you are trying to get pregnant without the advice of your doctor, but I can't get into see my doctor. I just feel so frustrated. I know we've only been technically trying for two months. But I'm 36 and we've had perfect timing! And I worry about my fertility… I just wish I knew what was going on with my body. Ok pity party over...

@travellingbee: I'm sorry. Could it be implantation spotting? I spotted very heavily for a few days when I got pregnant with LO - assumed it was my period until it never progressed into anything more.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@SeptMomma12: i'd love to think that but this happened exactly the same way last month.
pear / 1955 posts
@travellingbee: Ugh, I feel your pain - we've had perfect timing for three cycles in a row now, and nada. And I have ridiculously long cycles (around 45 days) so even though it's only been three cycles, we've been trying since April. I wish our bodies came with instruction manuals.

I went to my old doctor just now. He isn't as receptive to my ideas as my new doctor, but he is easier to get into. He treated me with some Diflucan for the Yeast, and ordered a pelvic ultrasound to find out what is going on with the spotting. He did not allow me to get a blood test to test my progesterone. He said if I have enough progesterone to ovulate then I have enough progesterone to get pregnant. I'm not sure if I follow that logic but whatever.

@raspberries: @travellingbee: I'm so sorry. I feel ya--we've had anything from reasonably good to perfect timing for four cycles. If this current TWW is a bust too, I think I will feel pretty discouraged.

@mrsvdv: @loki: @JennyG: @angelachase: @raspberries: @SeptMomma12: Thank you ladies for being so sweet. I know many many people have been trying much longer and I shouldn't but I just desperately needed to be sad and complain to someone but no one knows that we are trying. I really do appreciate all of your support!! DH brought flowers home for me too. What a sweetie...

@raspberries: yup!
Spotting is gone for now but I've little to no hope.
clementine / 912 posts
@raspberries: I feel ya on the instructions manual. I know I'm just starting to TTC, but I don't know how you can ever feel like you know what's really going on in there.
I'm thinking about testing again today, but so far it's just been BFN and I might just wait it out until Friday.

Hey friends! So I had blood work today to test my estrogen and progesterone to check if I O'ed! In one week they are going to do a pregnancy test in the office. So I'm changing my POAS date to sept. 2...I'll see you ladies in September! I'm praying and hoping for your bfp's!

@raspberries I tested again on Sunday and it was still a BFN. But AF still hasn't come. I am on cd 32 and my last two cycles were 33 days (the first 4 I got after my daughter were in the 40's). So I guess I can stay on the list until AF shows, but I think I am out and onto september.

@travellingbee: Just thread lurking, but saw you mention something about your Dr saying that if you have enough progestrine to ovulate you have enough to get pregnant???
I'm not to sure about that, I had my progestrone drop early......so I could get PG but keeping it was a different story, even with this pregnancy that was with no meds after 2 Chemicals my progestrine went down a little so I took Crinone to help!
I'd ask about it, because I'm sure your goal is not to get pregnant its to have a baby!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@FaithFertility: thanks for popping in. Yeah I know that he isn't right about that. Idk why doctors sometimes say things like that that are obviously not true. He can be difficult. I have switched doctors but couldn't get in to my new one soon enough so I went back to him. I'll bring it up with the new doctor!

Ughhhhh. I temped this morning just out of habit and it was 97.6, just barely over cover. I'm certain I'm not pregnant (and skeptical of whether or not I Od at all, which sucks, because that's never happened to me before) but now the worst part is just having to wait another 4 days or so for AF to show in order to move on.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@angelachase: Same exact position. I tested and got a STARK white BFN Def not preg and AF is still days away.
@loki: roll me over...

@Jone0603: Aww, darn it. Good luck in September then!
August has kind of sucked, hasn't it? Here's hoping the rest of you ladies make it end with a bang!

@travellingbee: I'm with you. I tested yesterday and nothing, but AF is days away (or at least feels like it).
