My LO will be one next week, so i thought I'd start her on a little milk. So...she'll take a sip and then just let it dribble right back out of her mouth. Humpf. How did your LO handle the switch? Any suggestions to help her like it? (She's been EBF)

It took a few weeks for her to warm up to it, but now she loves it!

She consumed it as if nothing had changed. She reacted the same way when I transitioned to formula at 9 months. I was shocked.

@MrsMo: We actually made the switch slowly by doing a mix of breast milk and whole milk. 1st week 75/25 mostly breast milk, 2nd week 50/50, 3rd week 75/25 mostly whole milk and 4th week all whole milk. She might not have needed the transition but when we first tried straight up whole milk she spit it out so we went this route and it worked for us.

she gulped her first cup down without a problem. however, i'm pretty sure it's causing her a lot of tummy pain.

We started the transition by doing 3/4 formula, 1/4 milk then bumped it to 1/2 and 1/2, then 1/4 and 3/4 and today was 100% milk. It took us about 3 days. Now to work on getting rid of the bottle.
