I'm coming down with a cold and I know that will affect my supply. What do you do to help maintain your supply when you're sick (or help it recover after)?

Extra pumping even when I knew I wouldn't get a lot of milk. I hope you feel better soon!

More rest than usual if you can get it and lots of water or low-sodium or no sodium chicken soup. Also saline rinse or neti pot for your nose. Hope you feel better soon!

And careful with cold medicines, most decongestants and antihistamines will dry up your supply.

@snowjewelz: Not yet, but it's just the beginning of a cold and I've only pumped a couple times so far (and mornings are always my best output anyway).

@Adira: I hope it doesn't take too much of a hit! My morning pump is the best too.. I try to just get as much as I can since my next two sessions are never great.

@snowjewelz: Same here. My morning pumps are my saviors, haha. They were normal this morning, so I'm hoping that everything will continue to be fine. I think drinking enough liquids is crucial, especially when sick!
