The little white tab pops off the yellow thing and the yellow thing comes off too. At least it does on mine. Which pump is this?

I can take off the membranes (white tabs ya know) but I cannot for the life of me pull the yellow thing off!! It's the medela double electric

The yellow piece should definitely come off...how weird! Are you twisting as you pull? Sometimes mine get stuck on pretty tight

@Sparks: I have tried twisting and pulling!! Ok I need to try harder I guess. What if I can't get it off?? I'm panicking because the area where the top red arrow is pointing to is dirty on one of mine!

Try rocking the yellow part back and forth. Those buggers always give me trouble! I clean them with a teensy thin bottle brush. I buy them in big packs at Target, or I use the brush from my Dr Browns bottles.

@Mommytotwois: if i grasp mine and wiggle back and forth while i pull that helps too. maybe make sure your hands and the parts are dry to get a grasp on it - or hold onto it using something grippy?

I have been known to use my teeth to get the yellow part off when it was really stuck...

The yellow part comes off, I use straw brushes and q tips and then I boil the parts! Good luck!

I've had to have my husband get the yellow part off for me more times than I can remember. I know it comes off, but sometimes I can't work it! I also use my Dr. Browns skinny brush to clean the area the top red arrow is pointing to.

Not sure if it will help, but DH was able to get mine off after running under reeeeeally hot water. Before that, neither of us were able to get it off! I have the PISA, so basically the same.

I got one off FINALLY and then had DH take the other 3 off. Such a relief!!! Thanks!

@mommytotwois: glad you got them off, I have to sort of rock mine back and forth. I too wonder how you clean that part of the flange that is divided as my bottle brush doesn't get in there. When it gets too icky I sterilize in boiling water which took care of it.
