I know there was a thread a while back but I can't find it!
How do you label your LO's possessions for day care?
I'm thinking like her bottle I don't really want to write on it with a Sharpie? I'm fine with Sharpie on the clothes/blanket labels...

When LO goes into daycare, I will. I hope to find time to make labels and sew them onto her blanket, stay-at-daycare clothes, etc. As for her bottles and such? Not sure...

I got labels from Mabel's labels. They are great and do not come off in the washer/dryer or dishwasher.

We've labeled the lunch box and water bottle with wall decals. They don't have her name, but everyone knows the doggie stickers belong to Lala. Everything else gets a sharpie!

I bought labels from Oliver's Labels based on a board suggestion!

Mailing labels. Find a coupon code for a site like shutterfly then have some cute ones printed up. You don't have to include your address but could make it say something like "this belongs to: ___" with a cute design. They're easy to put on and if it starts to fade off you can slap another one on there.

Our daycare provides labels for bottles that are "waterproof". We don't label anything else. She has a bin that all of her things go in. We've never had a problem with items getting misplaced other than a pacifier recently. That's the first "lost" item in eight months.
We do write with a sharpie her name on the bottle covers and her tub of formula.

For bottles/sippy cups you can try personalized orbit labels from inchbug.com.

i bought oliver's labels and another company's labels (can't think of the name). put them on everything -- they are great and haven't come off even after washing them in the dishwasher/washing machine! no need to sew -- just stick on!

what about a "leash" for the bottles/nuks similar to a pacifier leash? Then just put a label on the leash attached to the bottle?
I was going to echo @Mrs. Jacks: idea - painters tape and sharpie. Comes of easily.

@Mrs. Jacks: do that at home to label when I pumped a bottle. But wouldn't it come off when they reheat a bottle?
Anyone seen the label stuff on deal sites? They're a bit more than I want to pay. I would just do vistaprint labels but they're not waterproof for bottles.

@regberadaisy: We don't use any bottles, just her water bottle which we wash by hand.
