I think it depends how often you want to wash them. in the newborn we used playtex bottles with drop in liners and we had about 6 to 8 in rotation. so we would only wash bottles once a day

We started out with 4, and thanks to a couple freebies have 6 now. I EP, so we have to use them. Thankfully daycare uses their own bottles, so I only wash 1x per day

we had 10 bottles ready to go. we hated doing dishes all the time haha.

We have 10 bottles on hand, but at 7.5 months, LO only has 5/day (he's exclusively bottle-fed). When he was born, he had 10-11 bottles/day, and sometimes up to 12.
