Ours just went up to $1730/mo for one baby in the infant room. It will go down a bit when she moves up a room (to approximately what the infant room used to cost before the tuition increase ). This is after a small discount I get through work, since the daycare is affiliated.

$1811,each month for one infant. We'll be switching to the provider that is subsidized by my husband's job as soon as they have an opening in March, which will cost around $1350 each month. Ugh.

$880/month. I'm not sure how we are going to swing it when #2 comes...right now we are looking at a 3-year gap to cut down on double daycare payments.

Ours is 43$ A day or about 860$ a month. We don't pay for Christmas holidays, March break or the summer months as it is a home day care for teachers so LO is home with us then.

@Mrs. Bee: Cost of living is way less where I love. My salary is also 1/2 what it would be if I worked in education in your parts.
@epsion: I don't think I could adjust to living somewhere cost of living is much higher!

$20 a day. Usually 4 days a week. About $320 for a 4 week month.
I'm off work for a couple of months now though. So $0. But we'll be going back to the same place when I go back to work.

We've had quite the progression of cutting costs-always for 5 days a week:
When we lived in Chicago it was 2140 a month for one
Here in Indy it was 1990 for two
Just switched to our church's daycare which is 1125 a month for two.

Our daycare isn't that bad....We pay a reduced rate because we only send LO full time when DH is away at work, and then she just goes sporadically when he is home. The FT price for weekly is $200. We end up spending $500-600 a month.
When LO2 gets here, we'll pay FT daycare for infant, about $700 a month, and LO1 will start preschool which is $1200 a month - no negotiating based on DaDa's schedule:(

Over $3k for 2 kids. DD2 only goes 9 hours per week so it is pretty ridic. Looking forward to DD1 in public school next year!

@BabyBoecksMom: I bet if we looked at percentage of cost against take home pay, we'd not be that far off.
These hard dollar threads are skewed because of cost of living anyway.

He's not in yet but it will be about $1200/month for a toddler, Astoria queens.

Long story short, it wasn't a good fit for him. He's at an in-home now and doing much better

Wow...I am a little in shock by the cost of some of these daycares! Seems like the US/bigger cities are pricier for sure.
We pay $35/day for K, but she only goes 3 days/week. If she went 5, it would be $30/day. Comes out to about $450/month for part time.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: nothing could prepare me mentally or financially for the cost of child care!

It is 1305 for eight hours of infant care at our center. 1465 for 9+ hours. They do have a tuition assistance program, which helps.

@Mrs. Pen: I was wondering how your little guy was doing! That's great you found a better fit for him.

It comes out to less than $200 full-time. We live in Sweden where childcare is highly subsidized.

Will be paying $720/month for just 2 days a week at $180/week

We'll be paying $1395 a month for full-time Most daycares/preschools here do not have part-time options. Reading some of your other costs that are much lower makes me hurt to think of what is going to be leaving our bank account!

$1,150/month for one infant 5 days a week.
I would love to spend less, but we did that originally and it didn't work out.

We pay just over $1,000 per month for one child. The cost will go down slightly next year when she moves up to the 3-yr-old room.

I pay $475/month for my 3 month old at our heavily subsidized on-site daycare at work. I always knew we were lucky but seeing these costs I feel even more grateful!

We pay $1170/month full time for our toddler, which will drop by about $90/month once she's potty trained. Once LO2 arrives in May and starts daycare in August it'll be $2400/month for both. Not looking forward to it.

@hotchildinthecity: would love to hear more details about this center in Astoria as it is half of what I pay in LIC!
