How much do you pay for child care per month if you're willing to share?
We pay $1300/month for two kids. I'm considering switching my older one somewhere else to save about 250/month but I think I'll regret that decision.

Just under $1400 for 1 child, full time. They don't offer any prepay discounts, or sibling discounts.

Ours is about $950/month ($215/week), but will double for two kids.

We just switched, so it's now less than $600 month for M-Th, he is 32 months.

Not voting because LO isn't in daycRe, but the price here is $33 per day. About $650 a month after tax.

We're currently paying about $420/month for 2 days a week. But when I go back to work after my maternity leave, and both kids are there 3 days a week, we'll be paying about $1200/month. Definitely NOT looking forward to that!!

$1650 a month for a toddler, full time. Will be an additional $1750 when we add a newborn to the mix. Craziness.

@Mrs. Pen: Oh no did something happen with the center??
Around $750/month for a toddler.

Ours is $34/day per kid, so depending on the month, it's usually about $1560 for both

It's 25$ a day, so anywhere from 550-625$ a month.
I receive a tax credit & split the remaining cost with LO's dad. So out of pocket I pay anywhere from 55$ to 90$ a month.

$375 a week for early preschool. $495 for newborn a week. So, it would have been about $3,500 a month.

Last year I was paying just under 2000/month at the cheapest daycare in our town for our LO. This year, she is commuting 50 min out to the suburbs w me and our new daycare is 1200/month. We switched to start saving money for LO #2....when we have a second we will probably look for a nanny which will be around 2500-2800/month for 2. =(

I can't get over how much some of you pay for 1 kid. I thought we pay a lot for 2! We pay $2k/mo for both.

I can't get over how little some of you pay! LO goes only one day per week and its $350, about to go up to $400 a month!

It was $1100 a month full time (35 hrs/week) but now it is $600 for 2 days a week (13 hrs/week). We live in Queens btw

We paid $680/month for full time care for an infant. I know it sounds "cheap" compared to some, but I worked part time and my state has one of the highest childcare costs to income ratios. So with two it just wasn't doable.

@matador84: wow you could never find daycare for one child for that cost here!

40/day for one baby. He only goes two days a week so approximately 320/month

@matador84: I miss Texas...
It will be about $2200/month for both kids. It is so expensive here!
cantaloupe / 6669 posts
Yikes, so expensive! LO goes part-time but it would be $810/month if she went as full-time as they offer, which is 7:15am-5pm and they follow a school calendar, so we still have to pay & find additional childcare when they are closed for things like spring break.

We haven't picked one yet but full time infant care will cost us $1300-1700/month for one baby. I definitely know people here who pay more than that, but we're trying to make cost one of our priority considerations.

We pay $1270/month for one child in the under 3 program. We're looking at almost $2500/month for two!!! And that is a non-profit daycare, the other ones we looked at were $1400+/month!!
