At 6 months he was waiting around 20 ounces a Day but he was going through teething and sickness. Before he could down around 30 to 35 ounces. ....now at 7.5 months were around 22 to 25

When DS was 6 months old he was eating every 3 hours for me, but when my mom or mil was watching him he drank about every 2.5 hours, sometimes less. I think they may have been misreading what he needed and feeding him when he was actually tired and DS also had a harder transition to being out of my care and ate for comfort more than hunger during those first weeks when I was back at work.

@yellowbird: My LO (6 months this week) eats approx. 4.5 ounces every 3-4 hours (it usually averages out to be 3 hours, with a little give and take for naps and such). She doesn't always finish all of her bottles, so she probably averages about 4 ounces per feed. I don't think you need more ounces, per se, but just a redistribution of the ounces . . . .so, going from four 3oz feeds to three 4oz feeds, if that makes sense. It would reduce the number of feeds each day, but your LO would still get the same number of ounces.

Every 4 hours at daycare around 6 months, but he had solids in between bottles.

@yellowbird: lol - nah, I don't think so. For her size, my LO is a pretty good eater. About a week ago, she was only weighing in at 15lbs 3oz (she hits 6 mos. on the 1st).
