DS ate scrambled eggs around 7-8 months. I probably gave him cheese around the same time, but I can't remember how I prepared it.

Cheese at 7/8 months? Just gave him bits of my string cheese at first! Now he gets slices of full fat sharp cheddar and I break it into little chunks.
Eggs we just started at 9/10 months. Scrambled and more as an omelette. Sometimes with cheese added. Doctor said we could have started eggs much earlier. Good protein!

@Dandelion: @lovehoneybee: Did you scramble the whole egg or just give the yolks? I'm going to give DS his first try at eggs tomorrow.

@cmomma17: oooh the omelet idea is fun -- I could probably do eggs and cheese in combination.

I think she was 8 or 9 months when we tried egg for the first time. She isn't a fan. I scrambled a whole egg.
Cheese was probably 9 months. I just cut in little pieces.

I don't remember but cheese not till like 13 months plus because of MSPI and eggs not till much later because my nephews is pretty severely allergic.

@coopsmama: we always used the whole egg by the way, not just yolks. Ped said it was okay. LO loves eggs. I keep meaning to do omelettes with veggies for him! On valentine's day I made an omelette and then cut heart shapes out with a mini cookie cutter

D's first food was egg yolk at 5.5 months. I mashed it up with some breastmilk. Cheese was probably 6.5 months. And I scrambled a whole egg around 10.5 months.
@cmomma17: Umm, heart-shaped omelets...adorable.

@coopsmama: I did the whole thing. The white is the good protein.

6 months! Started with scrambled eggs and cheese shreds, then progressed to cheese cut into matchsticks.

@Smurfette: @cmomma17: @Dandelion: Awesome! I hate the idea of just using the yolk so I'll just be brave and go for it! We're in the middle of finding a new ped (not a fun search -- our area is notorious for old school, horrible peds) so I don't have anyone to answer these questions!
@cmomma17: I LOVE that. Too cute. If I tried that for my DH he would be severely unimpressed so I love that I have a LO I can do adorable cheesy things for.

I only did egg yolk, because that's what my mom recommended. I cooked some baby pastina really well and then mashed in about half of a cooked egg yolk. Eventually, I just used whole egg and then I did scrambled a lot.

@coopsmama: You can always start with shredded cheese!

We were on vacation around 7 months when I started giving DD pieces of my omelets (filled with all kinds of stuff, including cheese). She loved it. Interestingly, she goes back and forth on eggs and cheese, but will eat cheese if I sprinkle it on beans or veggies.

@coopsmama: my ped only has issues with citrus, honey, peanut butter and cow's milk. None of those before 1 year. Everything else he says is fair game!
