I would try substituting each nursing session with a bottle. One session at a time, of course. Until he's no longer nursing.

Nursing before bed was the hardest for me so keep that for now.

However, when they wake up instead of nursing say "lets go get some milk" and leave the bedroom right away and give him a sippy and a small snack (cheerios).

Also you can try and go straight to cows milk or mix half and half in the bottle until he is use to it
