DS is 10 months old and is still nursing/taking a bottle of breastmilk 5 times during the day (nurses morning and night, 3 bottles at daycare) and once overnight. At our well visit with the pediatrician last week she said most babies at his age are only getting 4 milk feedings total. I plan to stop pumping at a year and to ease the transition for me and for him, I think it is time to move him to 2 bottles at daycare instead of 3 which will hopefully also get him to eat more at mealtimes.

The pediatrician suggested just eliminating the third bottle and moving the remaining two between meals. Are there other ways to do it?

How did you go about dropping a daytime feeding?
