DD turns 1 at the end of next week (insane!). My plan is to keep nursing at wake up and bedtime for a bit longer*, but I promised myself I would not pump past her birthday because I have hated every day of it. She eats solids really well and STTN. Right now, she gets 1 bottle (50/50 BM/WCM) and 2 straw cups of WCM while I am at work, and I am down to 2 nursing sessions + 1 pump per day. As of this morning, I have enough BM in my freezer stash to get us through her birthday. And today at work I only pumped 2 oz. (way less than normal). My body has been adjusting really well - I am not engorged (or even feeling full). So, I can stop pumping, right???? How did this process go for you? Anything you wish you had done differently?

*I envisioned continuing our 2 nursing sessions for quite a while, but I am not sure that is realistic. This morning we had some heat issues, so DD was up at 5:00 and I fed her. When I tried to feed her again at 8:00 (closer to her normal nursing time), there was NOTHING there. So my supply might dwindle faster than I expected, but that's okay with me.
