My LO is 5 months and it is getting harder to feed her by breast and bottle! She is so interested in her surroundings and would rather look around or coo....she will arch her back and try to wiggle away. Do you wait til your LO is really, really, really hungry before you feed? I have tried using a nursing cover at home to prevent her from looking around but that doesn't work!
Any tips for this stage?

My LO is bottle fed and I just let her look around until she's ready to look at me and eat. Now she's holding her own bottle so she can look around all she wants.

Change where you feed her. Make it a quiet, dim or dark room where no tv, no music, no other people are walking around. The less stimuli the more she'll settle down and eat. It may be a really fast meal because she'll want to get back to the stimuli but hopefully she'll focus. Also, try wearing a nursing necklace to keep your baby focused toward the breast rather than looking around. They are actually very helpful.

Like everyone else said, I would change where you feed her and make sure there are no distractions.
