Thank goodness I have some storage bags with me!
Any of you ever forget your pumping supplies? How did you solve your problem (I just know some of you are closet MacGyvers!)?

Omg!! I did this the other day, I had to go to Walmart during work! I bought storage bags. I've also forgotten the flanges once, another Walmart trip, and to top it off i forgot my entire pump at work last weekend!! Ugh!!

I put my milk in a gatorade bottle. Serious. One time I didn't have a gatorade bottle with me, so I went to the gas station, bought one, drank it, cleaned it out and filled it up with milk!! Hahahhaha.

I did this once too. Luckily I had a storage bag with me and filled that sucker as full as it would go. I also forgot my flanges once too. I waited as long as I could and then hand expressed. I had to Google how to do it and may or may not have squirted milk at the wall more than once.

Not back at work yet, but I could see myself doing this! I'd try to put plastic over the tops and rubberband them closed.

I've left bottles, storage bags, caps, and my pump at home before (all on different occasions).
For leaving bottle caps at home I asked my co-workers' to see any bottles they had with caps, including pill bottles, etc. I actually found two that worked and that my co-workers were willing to part with. I washed them with soap and water and put a rubber band around just in case
When I left bottles home, I just jimmy-rigged my storage bags to my pump with rubber bands and scotch tape.
When I left my pump home I had to go out and buy a manual! I keep it in my desk drawer as a back up.

I've done this!
My pumping coworker gave me some storage bags.
After that day, I bought an extra kit of Medela bags & hooks for my desk.

I keep an entire extra set of pumping parts: bottles, flanges, caps, membranes, connectors in my desk.
I was traveling and didn't realize how much I would pump so I ran out of bottles. I bought a bottle of water dumped it into a cup and used that bottle.

EEEK --- I forgot my bottle caps too! I had 1 buried in my bag, and I have one other bottle that has a nipple on top - but I might have more than I can put in those two.... what should I do?
Should I pour it into 2 ziplock bags? Something about that seems wrong.... I need to put some freezer bags in my bag tonight for backup.

I am so paranoid about this, so I keep a full set of just about everything at both work and home (bottles, caps, bags, pump accessories, manual pump, etc.)

I kept the connectors attached since they are closed at the top and stuck them in the cooler which held them upright once zipped.
We traveled 8 hours away once and I stored all my milk in a (new) 1 L bottle since I couldn't freeze it and then transport it home.

@hellobeeboston: Do you have disinfecting wipes or access to soap and water? If so, I would wash the surface of a plastic bag/ziploc, and use that as a covering for the bottles (with a rubber band to secure it). If you have too much milk, definitely try an alternative storage container! Anything clean and dry should work!

@highwire: that is a really good plan, I need to buy an extra set & leave it in my desk...

@hellobeeboston: after this happened to me, I also keep a ziploc bag with an extra set of everything just in case (hands-free bra, flanges, adapters for storage bags, storage bags, and pump parts already assembled) in my desk.
ETA: The extra hands free bra is a new addition . . . I forgot mine a couple of weeks ago, and had to cut holes in one of my regular bras to be able to pump!
