I was getting ready to cap my bottles and knock one over. I lost about 1.5 ounces.
At least the counter is clear and I didn't get it on any work stuff. That would've been embarrassing to explain.
When's the last time you lost liquid gold?

@regberadaisy: Boo - so sorry! Losing anything more than 1/4 oz makes me sad. I was on a work trip last week and couldn't save ANY of the milk I pumped for two whole days...

I'm sorry!

Months ago in the thick of my EP time I spilled a full 5oz bottle and lost my mind. Yelling, stomping, crying. Yeah, not a good scene. Thankfully I was home and no one saw but my dogs.

Sorry it's happened here too. And then one day I brought along bottles I'd forgotten to wash, and didn't realize it till the end of the day when I figured out the bad smell in the pump room wasn't from the room, it was from the bottles
In the long run they're little things... but yeah, they really sting when they happen.

I haven't spilled any in a long time, but I usually over-defrost when we go out and my mom is watching the little guy... so we end up dumping 6+ oz. bottles after a day and it makes me soooo upset!

Ugh! For this exact reason, I bought a Kiinde Twist system. You pump right into a tough good quality bag. As soon as your done you put a cap on it for storage. You can freeze it and warm it in that bag, and then it snaps right into the bottle and unscrew the top off the bag, then place the nipple on. There's adapters for like very different pump! It's amazing!!!!

I've spilled it a few times but the worst was when LO was a few days old. We struggled with breastfeeding.. And I mean *really* struggled. It was the middle of the night and DH was sitting next to me in bed. I was pumping colostrum/early bm after failing at another nursing attempt, and I handed the tiny colostrum container to DH so he could syringe feed the baby. Somehow it ended up on the mattress... we just looked at each other and then both burst into tears. We were SO tired and so worried about the baby getting enough to eat. It was one of those hilarious first-time parent memories that I love to look back on. Literally crying over spilled milk...

I thought I was being smart and thrifty and avoiding plastic by freezing in glass jars to reuse. Yeah not so much. Our freezer shelf collapsed from the weight and everything (probably 200 oz) fell out and about 1/3 was lost from broken jars/lids. I didn't even know what to do at first. I just stood and stared at the wreckage. Now I'm using bags, love me some non breakable plastic.
