I think without being a shelf bra nothing would be tight enough to hold the nursing pad to your breast?

@dagret: I wear a Coobie bra to bed. I don't feel like it's very restrictive. I even just told Hubs the other night that I don't know if I'll ever be able to sleep without one. It is really comfortable!

ETA: I tried a few "nursing" nightgowns from Destination Maternity and hated them because they had no structure or support. I had breast pads in and still woke up soaked in BM because they shifted around so much in my sleep.

I sleep in a sports bra all the time. My big boobs need support. There are some cute cheap ones at target.

Majamas Sleepy Dress was my favorite. I has pockets in the nightgown for breast pads and it wasn't tight or restricting. I had the Lace Sleep Set (sleepy dress with robe and a touch of lace) and after I was done with it I passed it on to a friend and she fell in love with it too.

I know you said no bra, but I love these lace trimmed sleep bras from Motherhood. I find them super comfy and not constricting. Otherwise I'm not sure what would hold pads with out wearing some kind of shelf bra.

The medela sleep bra has virtually no support and I don't find the band restricting at all (I still wear it to sleep and I'm not nursing).
