@Mrs.Someone: when I was googling after my CD 3 testing I saw that the upper limit where they mention possible PCOS is 3 for AMH and 30 for AFC (mine were 3.04 and 30, so I remember those numbers!) I think if it's not PCOS though then it's good - means lots of eggs!

so, i'm home (and rested, there may have been a nap in there ha) and feeling pretty good. they got 9 eggs, so now the waiting starts to see how it all goes.
thank you everyone for thinking of me, i'll keep updating how its turning out!

@Shutterbug: I sure hope its good... The ND first said it meant I was very fertile (not the best thing to say at the time!) But she did say that my Testosterone levels weren't high, so who knows. Is it weird that I'm looking forward to the tests?

@PastaAndPotato: Thats great! I'll be on the lookout for an update in the next few days

So just got back from my RE. I hate how they make me panic unnecessarily, my DH's motility numbers went up from low 30's to the upper 60 percentile, OVERNIGHT!!!yayyyyyy. No cause for alarm. I guess its a good thing i did'nt bother to tell him they were concerned about his poor motility numbers at the last 2 analysis....Phew.
They confirmed O, so we're bd'ing tonight, and my TWW begins tomorrow, can't wait for that BFP. I feel really good about this cycle.

@PastaAndPotato: 9 whole eggs!?, wow that's awesome news. Rest some more honey, you certainly needed it.

@PastaAndPotato: yay awesome update! get some rest this weekend
@Mrs.Someone: not weird at all! Even though I was (unnecessarily) TERRIFIED about the HSG, I was so excited to get to actually see what was going on in there. Then again, I've been charting and using OPKs since before I even started TTC because I love data, haha.

@PastaAndPotato: yay! that's great news. rest easy and hydrate. looking forward to seeing how the next few weeks develop for you. do you do a 3 day or 5 day transfer, or is it wait and see?

@mk0180: Thank you! AF is supposed to come tomorrow so we will see. Trying not to get my hopes up, but also trying to have a positive attitude.
@ineebee: I totally understand how you feel about your family knowing about your ttc journey. I think those that have not gone through this are at a loss of what to say. I try to be openminded and understanding, but it's rough when many don't think before they speak!
@mrswin: Thanks, it's been a rollercoaster this cycle, that's for sure.
@raintreebee: Absolutely, I am currently seeing a naturopathic doctor. She was able to run a blood test to to check my level of tolerance. I am also interested in learning more about autoimmune issues, since I am now gluten intolerant. I have so far been "unexplained," but I wonder if some other autoimmune issues are at play...
@Mrs.Someone: Congrats on good test results! Just a quick question, is this with your ND or is this with a fertility specialist?

so, things are still going (cautiously) well! of the 9 eggs they got on friday, they ICSI'd all 9, and 4 fertilized. as of yesterday, all 4 were cleaving, so they decided to wait for a day 5 transfer (we were playing that by ear, and waiting to see how the embryos were doing before deciding). waiting to hear the update today, and looking at a transfer on wednesday. i'm just hoping that the 4 (or at least the majority of them) keep on with their growing

@Apex: My office does this too and it makes me crazy, as if I need any help at this point Hope your TWW flys by!
@PastaAndPotato: Glad to hear you have 4 good embryos. Keep us posted on your transfer.
@mrs.halfsie: How are you doing? Did AF stay away?

@PastaAndPotato: Yay, that sounds great. I hope they continue growing!

@pastaandpotato: That's great! Hope things continue to progress!
@mrswin: Thanks for asking - but sadly no. I even got a faint positive test Saturday, but I started cramping and knew AF was on her way. And it was terrible! I think next time I get even a faint positive I will do into the doctor's right away and get blood drawn.

Just back from my ultrasound. Of course the tech couldn't tell me anything, but it wasn't clearly PCOS (yay!) I think my right ovary could have a mild case of it, but I'm not really sure. And I saw the big follie on my left that will potentially win this cycle. I thought he said its 1.7, but I'm not really sure. Next up, HSG tomorrow.

@Mrs. Polish: @PastaAndPotato: Thanks! I just hope the doc doesn't look at it and tell me something different...
HSG in about 3 hours, eek! Any last minute tips?

@Mrs.Someone: remember to breathe....breathing helped me stay calm and helped work through any of the minor, uncomfortable pains. Good luck!

@Mrs.Someone: I just want to warn you, that when I had my first ultrasound the tech didn't say anything to me about my ovaries being polycystic and I thought I was in the clear. But then the dr. called and said according to the blood work I did have PCOS. And when I asked at my next appointment whether there were actually cysts, she was like "oh yeah, take a look at the classic string of pearls."
BUT there's no reason you can't still get pregnant if you do have it! I've mentioned on here before that I have PCOS and have very stubborn ovaries that don't ovulate without medication (and sometimes even with). And even so, 3 out of 4 medicated cycles I ovulated, 2 of 4 I conceived (first being a CP).

@sweetooth: Thanks! Thats actually a tough one
@MrsCB: Thanks for the warning. I know the tech couldn't tell me anything, but I looked ahead of time on Google for images of the "string of pearls", and I don't think I saw it. Also, my blood work doesn't point to it at all, except for a high AMH. My periods are super regular, so its not too likely, just a possibility because of the AMH.

@Mrs.Someone: ibuprofen!! And chances are you won't even need it, but better to be proactively medicated in this case Good luck!
pomelo / 5228 posts
@Shutterbug: The clinic said to take 800mg, but its been something I've been avoiding because of the NSAID factor. Not sure what to do, but I'm leaning towards taking 400mg... I imagine they wouldn't tell people to take it if it would be a problem, right?
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Mrs.Someone: take it for sure! Good luck, and update us on the HSG thread.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@Mrs.Someone: You can take Tylenol instead of ibuprofen! That's what I did because I can't take NSAIDs.
pomelo / 5228 posts
@spaniellove: I was hoping you would chime in Did it work? I'm not really worried about the pain either way though.
@Happygal: Thanks, will do!

@Mrs.Someone: All I can say is that I didn't have crazy pain? Just some cramping when I sat up. I hope it all goes well today!

Cross posting from the HSG thread with a little more info:
Just back from my HSG. It went well, and was only painful when they put in the various instruments. My right tube was all clear, but she had to push a bit to clear out my left tube. She said she hopes that she just cured something when she did that! Also, she thought there might be something going on on my left ovary, so she offered to do a quick (maybe even free?) ultrasound to check it out. Turns out it was just this month's lucky follicle, at 21mm. She also said my lining looked good at 7mm. I got the answer on the PCOS too. She said my right ovary has a lot of follicles (~20), but didn't look like PCOS, yay. All in all, these tests went just as I had hoped, and it was nice to get some real info today. Hopefully clearing out that tube will do the trick!

@Mrs.Someone: Glad to hear it went well! I hope that these tests are all you need to get your BFP

Quick question for bees who have done an iui. How long was it before you stopped feeling side effects of your trigger shot?

@sweetooth: Thanks! How have you been doing lately?
@Apex: Thanks! FX for you too

@mrs.someone: I've heard of a lot of people get their BFP right after an HSG. My friend who did get pregnant afterwards called it tube lube:) I really want to get an HSG done but my doctor said its really expensive test and your insurance might not cover it. Plus she doesn't see anything in my history that could indicate a possible blockage.
