@sweetooth: What an amazing coincidence that we are on the same treatment at the same cycle! I hope I have the same wonderful success that you had! Thanks for giving me even more hope!

@justdarling: I hope you have a fabulous vacation to Italy and come back with the best souvenir possible!!!

@spaniellove: have you decided to see the other doctor in your practice for next cycle? Thinking of you!

@kentuckygirl: Yes, I'm hoping he'll have a less experimental approach. In the meantime I'm going to find somewhere else for a consult and if after 2 more cycles I'm not happy, I'm out of there. I'm also hoping the cyst is going away and the follicle from this cycle isn't becoming a cyst - it was actually getting bigger last weekend! It is such great news that you're finally able to cycle again; here's to lucky number 20!

@spaniellove: Sending you big hugs, lady. You deserve a place that understands you and makes you feel hopeful. I hope that you find some of that soon!

@Shutterbug: I would prefer the silver bracelet like yours because I would wear it more. I don't want it to be an inconvenience though, but if you happen to be back at the store, I would appreciate it!

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC? Since Apr. 2012

What are your plans for this cycle? I'm in the TWW wait so we'll see. Not super hopeful though since my CBE monitor put my peak days a whole week before they usually are. Not sure what that's about.

How is your attitude/outlook? We are on vacation in Northern CA and have another vacation lined up in early July, so just trying to relax. After that I'm going to start focusing on thr next steps and ask DH to get a SA and make an appt. with my OB to check in and start talking about seeing an RE.

What have you struggled with most this week? Coming to terms with (and feeling really scared about) having to take the next steps in terms of fertility treatments and wondering what the future holds.

What is your diagnosis? No official diagnosis yet.

What summer movie are you most looking forward to? DH and I love to go to the movies (we both actually have degrees in film). Definitely looking forward to Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing.

@LovelyPlum: Just wanted to say good luck with your HSG! I had one last month and while there was a brief moment of intense pain I was so relieved after it was done and proud of myself for going through with it.

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC?
    -since May 2011

What are your plans for this cycle?
-I took Clomid and think I ovulated yesterday. I haven't been tracking anything this cycle. We've been BDing every other day.

    How is your attitude/outlook?
-excited! I talked to my RE tomorrow and we are on the list to start IVF soon. When AF shows I'll start taking the pill.

What have you struggled with most this week?
-nothing baby related. I'm trying to help my BFF make a tough decision. She's been asking me for advice and I don't really know what's right.

    What is your diagnosis?
    -MF

What summer movie are you most looking forward to?
-There are so many! Man of Steel and City of Bones come to mind.

@ineebee: @justdarling: we could be IVF triplets! I'm going to start on the pill next month, move onto the meds at the beginning of August, and my retrieval will be sometime between Aug 26-30th.

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC? Since September 2011
What are your plans for this cycle? Ugh. Today is CD20, and this current cycle has been officially canceled. Now the plan is to keep taking the Metformin (I started on Monday), wait for AF to show up, and start over. My RE wants me to set up an HSG (yipes!), and it sounds like I'll definitely have to move on to injections. I'm so frustrated.
How is your attitude/outlook? Not so great. I was hoping I would get KU without having to use injectables, but that's not going to happen, and every canceled cycle is getting more and more frustrating.
What have you struggled with most this week? Dealing with yet another canceled cycle, especially after things started out looking so promising. Jealousy is a big struggle too. I hope I can get out of this funk ASAP
    What is your diagnosis? PCOS
What summer movie are you most looking forward to? Monsters University, Despicable Me 2, and Man of Steel are my top 3. Hubs is a HUGE movie fan, so we go to a lot of movies

@LovelyPlum: Thank you, that's so sweet of you!

@just_ju: Why have they been canceling you? I'm sorry you have to do the thing you've been dreading. Here's to this being the last step you have to take, the thing that brings you closer to your baby.

I think I'm starting AF while on Endometrin 3x/day. I had some AF cramping yesterday and noticed some spotting today along with a lot more AF cramping today. She is on her way.

@just_ju: How frustrating!!!! Grr, so mad for you that you have to start all over again. But I'm curious too - why is it canceled?

The last day of school is supposed to be the best ever, but a not-so-awesome coworker brought her daughter into work today and told everyone to look at her shirt, which so adorably (and maddeningly) read "I'm going to be a big sister." This will be my fourth coworker announcing her pregnancy this year. You can find me at the pity party. I'm bringing something very special...

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC? 1st cycle for second baby

What are your plans for this cycle? FET

    How is your attitude/outlook? Hopeful/anticipitory

What have you struggled with most this week? Waiting. I think waiting is the worst (especially when you have a plan). Also, the Doxy bloat yuck.

What is your diagnosis? CBAVD - Male factor no vas deferens from Cystic Fibrosis genes

What summer movie are you most looking forward to? Planes because I can take my son and I know he will love it

  16. just_ju

@spaniellove: @ineebee: my cycle was canceled because my estradiol wasn't high enough to indicate a good quality egg - results were 19 on Saturday, then 24 on Monday and Thursday. Way too low for 12mm and 15mm follicles, and not even remotely where they should be at that point (CD15-19) of my cycle.

@just_ju: I hope the injectibles do good things for you then!

Graduation for my local high school must be this weekend, because seriously one out of every three houses in my neighborhood has balloons on their mailbox. It occurred to me that people must have had babies the year the houses were built, and I thought to myself that I might have really lost it if that many of my neighbors got pregnant all at once!

  19. LovelyPlum

    eggplant / 11408 posts

@JoBug: thank you! It's looking like it will be around July 2. I think I'm more nervous about the results than the pain, but I'm pretty sure that the waiting is way worse than the actual procedure will be. I hope that you have a great vacation, and that this TWW brings you some good news!

Hello all! I just wanted to poke my head in to say that I got my BFP this month, though I am very cautiously optimistic about it. I am only in my 5th week and am overseas for another month so I am feeling extra nervous. I went in to a local clinic to get my progesterone tested on doctors orders yesterday and they will take an entire week (!) to get back to me with the results. Meanwhile I am chewing my fingernails down to the bone!

As for me....I got burned bad this weekend by an evap line. My first evap. It happened on 2 tests and DH saw it too. It was suuuuper faint but of course I got excited. Ugh! I've resolved to not have tests in the house anymore after this batch is up. I just can't do this to myself every month again.

We met with the not-guru RE today and definitely like him so much better. He went through all of my RPL results (other RE said it was all normal) and told me my partial thromboplastin time was high and he wanted to test it again. I also get to lower my Synthroid dose, yeah!

His opinion on my treatment was totally different from the head RE in the practice and I'm so glad we talked to him. He felt that we absolutely had a good reason to do IUI instead of TI; despite the other RE saying everything was fine there is still some male factor apparently that could be helped by IUI or IVF. So this cycle I'm going to do Tamoxifen and IUI, and depending on how I feel about this cycle I'll think about when to do injectibles. Woohoo for doing a real treatment cycle again!

Oh, also...he confirmed what I suspected, that the other doctor was mostly using me for his research.

@spaniellove: glad you had a good appointment!!

@LovelyPlum: it's basically a false positive. For some reason you get a line where the real line should be. It's why they tell you not to look at a test after 10 mins. :o( But my "evap" turned into my BFP last time! Grr.

@spaniellove: I'm so glad you had a good appointment. It bums me out to think that other doctor was using you for his research. A new approach, and back to the IUI - I think this is going to be good for you

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I've never gotten an evap before, but I can imagine how much it sucks! You should be able to sue wondfo or something, haha.

@spaniellove: that's great news! And interesting that your new doctor would basically admit that about his colleague using you for research. Glad you're not an experiment anymore!
