Well, AF showed her awful face on Sunday so the 3rd IUI was a total bust. We are taking a break for the next couple of cycles. I even deleted all of my fertility tracker apps on my phone. Talked to the nurse to let them know and also to know what our next step would be. We have a 3% chance of conceiving on our own. So I am focusing on exercising and eating more healthy than I have been and losing weight. Hot power yoga here I come! Oh how I missed it!

In August we will resume clomid + IUI. If that doesn't work then more than likely we will move on to injectibles + IUI which is a lot more expensive so we'll have to save. I don't think my RE wants to jump to IVF quite yet which I appreciate. The nurse said there's no reason the ectopic would have hindered my fertility and the ability to get pregnant so that made me feel better as I was beginning to wonder if it had something to do with the failed IUIs.

Anyway, I wish you all luck in your journeys. I hope that when I come back I don't see your names on these boards, if you know what I mean

@MK0180: I'm sorry that this IUI wasn't successful for you. It sounds like you have a good plan for the break, and for when you return to treatment. Let me know if you have any questions if you get to the injectibles/IUI stage. I wish you the best - and enjoy that hot power yoga

@spaniellove: That kinda sucks about your previous RE. I appreciate all the research that doctors have been doing, which has made IUI and IVF possible, but he definitely should've given you the choice! In any case, I'm glad that you're with someone whose plan you agree with and are excited about. Looking forward to some great news from you soon!

@mk0180: So sorry to hear that. I'm in a similar boat - third IUI failed, now on a break before more treatment in August or so. You may not read this if you're already on your HB vacation, but good luck to you and it sounds like you have a great plan!
