What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC? Since Sept 2011
What are your plans for this cycle? I have my follicle check on Saturday, started OPKs today. I need to work on my diet again, too.
How is your attitude/outlook? Meh - I didn't feel as much cramping with the Letrozole as I experienced with the Clomid, so I'm not convinced that I'll have any decent follies. Also, see below.
What have you struggled with most this week? I feel like I'm getting kicked while I'm down, ya know? Last week, I was upset for my friend. This week is the one year anniversary of medicated cycles (what's the traditional gift for this? Bills??), and then to top it off and kick me right in the uterus, my sister-in-law, who claimed she never wanted to have kids because just the thought gives her panic attacks, called to say she's pregnant. I feel pretty stabby.
What is your diagnosis? PCOS
Where (very generally) do you live? (Wondering if we could figure out some meetups if you're interested. Don't share if you're not comfortable with it.). Southeastern Wisconsin
@TheReelDeal: @ineebee: good luck with your betas. Fingers crossed and positive vibes for both of you!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: The passing of time and especially looking back on the passing of time in our own struggle is so hard. I've had a hard time recently realizing that people who got pregnant after we started with the RE have already had their babies or are about to. Unfortunately I think when you are on the m/c side of IF things become so much murkier in terms of diagnosis and they have fewer tools available to help you.
I'm sorry if I missed this somewhere...you've mentioned doing the painful HSG and everything...have they done the basic hormone levels? Like FSH, LH, that fun stuff? And it all looks good? And have they monitored you in any way to ensure that you're actually ovulating regularly and your progesterone levels are good?

@spaniellove: Yeah, it's so hard to compare because there are so many different aspects of IF. I shouldn't compare myself to others either, but it's hard not to!
FSH and LH are good, post O progesterone is good. I chart and use OPKs and have been monitored by ultrasound before, so as far as I know I ovulate regularly.
Sometimes I wonder if I haven't worried myself into not getting pregnant, even though I know that's probably not likely. Or if I've just been extremely unlucky? I dunno.

Hi, everyone. Thanks for your well-wishes... My temps have been slowly going down, and this morning it took another dive so I decided to POAS to take in the disappointment at home... and I'm glad I did. BFN over here. We're gonna take a little break in treatment for the next cycle (also while we move to a new city, etc.) and talk about what's next.
Thanks for all of your support, ladies.
@raintreebee and @thereeldeal: I'm counting on you guys for some great news today!

Hi all,
First time poster here, though I've been following these boards for awhile. I'm ready to come out of hiding and join this incredible group of supportive ladies. Here goes...
What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC? Since April 2012
What are your plans for this cycle? Exercise!
How is your attitude/outlook? Starting to feel a little anxious after hitting the one year mark.
What have you struggled with most this week? Trying to figure out what our next move should be - keep trying for awhile longer or see a specialist?
What is your diagnosis? I haven't seen an RE yet, but my OBGYN has had me on Femara since Sept. 2012. I use the clearblue easy fertility monitor so I know I'm ovulating. I had an HSG last month and all was clear.
Where (very generally) do you live? (Wondering if we could figure out some meetups if you're interested. Don't share if you're not comfortable with it.). Virginia

@ineebee: that stinks! Good luck with the move and a break sounds like a good idea
Thanks for all your wonderful well wishes! I didn't POAS today before my blood draw and because of insurance I won't get my results until tomorrow (pure torture). If AF doesn't show today (which she's expected to) or tomorrow morning I'll test. EEK!!
@JoBug: Welcome!!

@thereeldeal: Fingers crossed for you, buddy. And what a cruel, cruel trick to make you wait until tomorrow... Are you temping or anything? Any clues to draw on?
In any case, we'll have to rely on @raintreebee for today's great news!

@jobug: Welcome to this wonderful and super supportive community! The decision whether or not to see an RE is a tough one, and it's hard to know what's what because it's all so new. Let us know if you have any questions that might help you make the decision, and of course talk to your obgyn about it. I live in MD, and I've been really loving my experience at Shady Grove Fertility, and they have four branches in VA. So if you do end up going that route, you can be sure that there are some really fabulous doctors in our area.

@ineebee: I stopped temping it was stressing me out, now I wish I hadn't. My only clue, and I'm not hanging my hat on this, but I had some pinkish CM yesterday morning. I've never spotted before AF and I didn't have any this morning so I don't know what the heck is going on.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@ineebee: I'm so sorry to hear this...hopefully the move will take your mind off things.
@TheReelDeal: The pinkish CM sounds promising! I'm egging you on to POAS!
@JoBug: Welcome! I hope your stay here is short.

@thereeldeal: Thanks! I'm sending good thoughts your way.
@ineebee: I appreciate that. When/if we go down that road I know I will have a TON of questions. I get easily overwhelmed with all this and haven't done much research yet on treatment options. Good to know about Shady Grove Fertility. Good luck with your move. Will you still be in the DC area?

@spaniellove: Thanks! Looks like we've both been trying since Apr 12. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the end to both our TTC journies is near.

@TheReelDeal: haha well you know we're all POAS pushers here, right?
@ineebee: ah, I'm sorry. Good luck with the move! I live in MA, so not too far from RI

@shutterbug: Hi! It's nice to be a part of a group of gals that I can relate to. I only know a couple people IRL who've struggled and it took them both just under a year.

@ineebee: Sorry to hear it We're here for you! Hope the move goes well.
@JoBug: Welcome! Glad to have you join us, but of course we wish you didn't have to
As for me, I ended up sending my ND an email yesterday afternoon after too many emotional days/nights. The silliest things would set me off, and that just isn't me. The herbs I have been taking for the past few weeks is all that changed, so I was wondering if they caused it. She replied saying it could be, and if so it should level out eventually. I sure hope so, I know DH would rather have happy wife over sad wife... Feeling good today, but its only 9:30, so who knows what the day has in store

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC?
December 2012
What are your plans for this cycle?
I'm going to take a break from Clomid and DH is going to get a SA and the blood test he should have gotten previously not that school is done it will be easier to do. I don't want to take more Clomid and have it turn out we will need an IUI. That would feel wasteful and you can only use Clomid for a few cycles.
How is your attitude/outlook?
Surprisingly still super positive. You ladies are supportive as is DH and my family so while I did get sad when I saw AF I'm trying to see it as an opportunity.
What have you struggled with most this week?
Not symptom spotting. I was very proud of myself for basically thinking anything before 7 DPO was gas
What is your diagnosis?
PCOS
Where (very generally) do you live?
Philadelphia suburbs

@JoBug: Welcome, this is a great place for support. I also wanted to pipe up about Shady Grove Fertility. I had a great experience with them as well, and would highly recommend them. If you are thinking about getting started with an RE, consider calling and making an appointment. It can be difficult to get in right away. I found that when I was ready, around the year mark, I made the call and still had to wait another month before I got in for my initial appointment.

@thereeldeal: Oh noo!! So sorry to hear. What a disappointment that must have been...! Hugs and tears. :*(

@ineebee: Thanks! It was tough. I'm going to have a pity party when I get home.
pomelo / 5228 posts
@TheReelDeal: Boo, sorry to hear it! Here is something yummy to start the party:

@Mrs.Someone: You totally read my mind! Those are exactly what I want, and a beer!

@thereeldeal @mrs. someone: Cookies and beer! A match made in heaven. Yes, I think I will go home tonight and bake my sorrows away!
pomelo / 5228 posts
@TheReelDeal: After looking at them, I want one too I hope you get plenty of cookies and beer this weekend.
@ineebee: And could you use one of these?
pomelo / 5228 posts
@ineebee: Sounds like a good plan! I actually just considered starting an "IF Pity party" thread to share photos of yummy looking stuff I resisted though!
pear / 1580 posts
@Mrs.Someone: That would go perfectly with the Popeye's chicken I'm also planning on drowning myself in this weekend! Cupcakes, beer, cupcakes and Popeye's chicken binge!
pear / 1580 posts
@Mrs.Someone::O Why did you resist?? That's an awesome idea! So funny and clever! And sometimes, very much needed!
pomelo / 5228 posts
@ineebee: Mmm, fried chicken... I should hide my car keys now! And you've convinced me, I'm creating the thread!
pea / 13 posts
@Mrs.Someone: Thanks for the warm welcome! I also like the idea of an IF Pity party thread. I have a weakness for s'mores and salted caramels right now.
@sweetooth: Glad to hear of another rec for Shady Grove Fertility. I'll keep the wait time in mind when I'm ready to make an appt. My OBGYN has recommended I stay on Femara for a year before seeing a specialist so that will be Sept. I'm going to give myself until then to decide what my next step will be.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@JoBug: It sounds like @sweetooth and @ineebee had good recs for you! I'd have to respectfully disagree with your OB about a year on Femara, though. Generally if a treatment isn't working after around 3 attempts it's time to consider something else.
