@kentuckygirl: I'm sorry, lady. Hoping there are no cysts on Monday so you can move forward.

@kentuckygirl: so sorry about af. My re would not have had a problem with doing iui, bcps, then ivf. In fact, my RE would have let me go straight from iui to ivf (I never took bcps beforehand). But i never was in danger of ohss. .
Some REs are more conservative however.

@LovelyPlum: I am so sorry to hear about your experience after the HSG. I had to start taking an antibiotic before mine but honestly had not heard of anyone getting an infection before. I hope you are feeling better now!

@tequiero21: Thanks! Was your pre IVF process longer for any specific reason? I will ask questions this week at my appointments but I just wanted to get an idea going in how long the process leading up to IVF actually takes.
@FaithFertility: @LovelyPlum: @Leialou: Thanks ladies! I am sad that she arrived but I wasn't extremely hopeful this cycle, so I guess I had prepared myself. Constant BFNs is getting old though.

@raintreebee: Oh, that is great to hear! I also don't seem to be in any danger of OHSS, so I'll be interested to hear what they say. Thanks for your input!

@kentuckygirl: Drink TONS of water I was in danger too , and I was ok no caffine, no alcohol, no sex and plenty of water, good luck!

@kentuckygirl: thank you I felt prepared for the procedure (thanks largely to you girls!) but I was so, so unprepared for the next 4 days. What really stinks is that I could have had it on Friday, so I would have had the weekend to recover, but I chose Wednesday instead. I am finally feeling better, but I'm still weak. No more bleeding or fever though, thank goodness. If I ever have to do this again, I'm getting prophylactic antibiotics and doing it when I don't have to work!

@LovelyPlum: in Peru now
@kentuckygirl: I am so so sorry about AF. The timing for pre-IVF depends on the clinic of course but it sounds totally doable. I did an antagonist protocol so no BCP and did IUI in December, mock transfers and antibiotics in January, then IVF in February.
honeydew / 7968 posts
@kentuckygirl: don't think it was longer per se, I just didn't go right into ivf from my last clomid and iui. I believe feb was our last month, and it didn't happen. We didn't want to jump right into ivf, especially since we had a big trip planned that may, so we decided to start after our trip. And I was secretly hoping I could get pregnant before or on our trip. Well, that didn't happen, so we started the process like the 2nd week in June, 4 weeks of pills. Got some u/s done in beginning of july to figure out dates and all. Then started on the meds. Seems like another lifetime ago!

@spaniellove: not sure why, but we never did a mock trial or anything. I wonder why. We did the birth control. I'm not sure why. They just told me what to do and I did it, didn't really ask too many questions.
Have fun in Peru!! So exciting! I can't wait to go on a real vacation!

@tequiero21: I'm so glad we did one - my cervix turned out to be really difficult to work with and we had to do another one.

@LovelyPlum: So sorry to hear about your bad experience with the HSG. I was given antibiotics to take the day of and the day prior to the procedure.... I guess its not standard protocol

@Mrs. Pinata: Hi there! Nice to meet you I haven't been on this thread long, but everyone is super helpful and awesome.

@mrswin: thanks. No, it wasn't standard for my doctor, though I did it through my OB, not an RE. I apparently didn't have the flags to be at risk for it, but if I ever have to do it again (or really anything that involves them in my cervix), now I know!

Unfortunately, I have a update that isn't good:
My first beta at 14dpo came back good at 72. Today I got the results from 16dpo and it was only 77. It was from Thursday, so I have no idea what is going on right now. A wondfo was still positive, though a little lighter. I'm a wreck. I emailed the doc, but I probably won't hear from her until tomorrow since she is out today. (Results came in from the lab's automated system). I've found lots of great stories on http://www.misdiagnosedmiscarriage.com, but I realize its probably just giving me false hope

Oh, @Mrs.Someone--I'm so sorry. I always feel extra happy for pregnancy announcements from this crew, and I cheered loudly for you. I want to hear nothing but good news for your pregnancy! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and checking back here for updates.

@Mrs.Someone: I just got back from vacation and I was thinking of you today. Hoping for the best for you. Try to keep busy and not look at too much on the internet. Pour yourself into making some rice krispie treats or something much healthier if you prefer Hugs to you - I'm still hoping for positive results for you!

@TheReelDeal: @Happygal: @sweetooth: @Shutterbug: @futuremama: Thanks ladies, your support means a lot to me. Oddly, Google is actually making me feel better, so many stories of this situation turning out OK (but I know its not the norm). The worst part is the uncertainty and waiting to hear from my doc...
Also, I'm not cramping or bleeding at all, and am still nauseous off and on. It could be the progesterone though.
