I think mine is very competent, but not truly caring. I feel rushed and lacking in guidance.

Mine is brilliant but sometimes hard to communicate with. I also didn't trust his decisions at the beginning because he didn't fully explain them, but in retrospect his judgment is spot on.
Update: I just got the nicest email from him that made me tear up. I truly think he is in a very noble profession--not much could be better than helping couples create life.

My RE is my unborn child's honorary third grandfather! I love him!
ETA - I think I went through the process a little faster than others might have because I went to school with his son. But he is one of the top RE's in my area consistently.

The first one wasn't a good fit for me. I maybe saw him 3 times the entire year I was with him, I saw the nurse the rest of the time. He wasn't very aggressive with the treatments and I think that has to do with my age. I was 27 when we started the process and I feel like he felt I was young so I had time. He also didn't do an HSG or a SA for my DH.
The second RE, I loved her. I saw her or one of the other RE's every single time I went in. Even if it was just an ultrasound check. She had us do the testing that the other dr didn't do. I felt much more comfortable there and would recommend them to anyone.

Our first RE/clinic was very much a business. I appreciated that the doctors were pretty hands-on with my care, but they just weren't skilled enough with challenging situations.
My current RE is the opposite - he's known for his specialized knowledge but his practice is a horrible mess. If he weren't pretty much the only doctor in the country who could treat my condition without IVF, I wouldn't be there.

My RE is pretty great. I loved him at our consultation back in November, but I haven't seen much of him since. He's occasionally there at monitoring appointments, but I think it's just coincidence.
For what it's worth, I really like our nurse. And if she's an extension of the care I'm getting from my RE, then I'm happy!

What is an nd again?
I liked my re because they got me pregnant! But in hindsight, I wish they did more testing in the beginning instead of jumping into clomid without making sure I needed it.
