@owlteach: @mrs bunchy: I was thinking either because with Elster, you can add what you want to your list. I've used Elster once so I'm not completely sure how it works.

Hi ladies, I'd love to sign up, but I noticed that our full names are displayed on Elfster. Is there anyway to make the list private and open to only those who have signed up?

@lazypanda: good point! Until the list goes private, I did edit out my last name. I'm fine with sharing my full name with my swap buddy but I don't want it shown for anyone who clicks on that link.
@owlteach: can we make the list private?

@mrswin: I believe once everyone joins on April 22nd, Elfster should assign who you swap with a few days later. . Though, I'm not exactly sure. I have never managed a Elfster swap before.

@owlteach: I looked and there is a privacy option where you can 'allow contact information to be shared with swap partner only.' That might help with those of us with privacy concerns.

@mrswin: Oh, sorry I wasn't clear, that's something that the admin of the swap has to do. @owlteach: will have to do that since she was the one who set it up. You could edit out your last name in the meantime.

Okay- so now this is where I am lost. Do we receive an email with who we get paired with, or do we have to keep checking back with Elfster!? (Lol just chuckled like that's a real person). I am so excited about this and keep telling DH!

I noticed that the info is still open to the public so I haven't inputted my personal information yet. Is it a surprise who we're swapping with?

@lazypanda: Now that Owlteach made me an assistant, I was able to go in and edit the privacy settings. Everyone's address should not be public now. Let me know if it is not. Only swap partners will be able to see your address. So it should be able to update your info.
@mrs bunchy: @FliegepilzHut: So the last day to sign up is tomorrow April 23rd. Once everyone signs up, the partners will be assigned April 25th at 12:00A. I believe you'll get an email when it happens.
Also, someone mentioned about Canada users swapping with other Canada users. I looked in the settings and I'm able to make some setting so you guys can swap together. Just make sure you list your location. I can keep Canada users swapping together.
If there is not an even number of Canada users, someone the US will have to swap. (I'm fine with shipping to Canada.) If anyone does not want to pay the extra postage to ship to Canada, please let me know so I can exclude the Canada partners for your swap.
Also, next time we do this, I think it might be good to keep the elfster link private. Maybe I'll wall people the elfster link instead of posting it on the thread. I'm pretty guarded with my info, so I think it could be better doing it that way. Does anyone else agree?

@bluestriped bee: yes. Can we still do that? I almost didn't join in b/c of privacy concerns. I like to keep a pretty low profile! Maybe Mr. Bee can delete the link now that we've passed the sign up date?
