@MrsTal: LOVE the card!!! Made me !

@blue-striped bee: I'm your buddy! And I'm sorry for the lame packaging...I was just really worried it wouldn't get there on time! I hope it's a lucky color for you!

@lazypanda: You're so sweet!!! I love my pretty socks and paper flowers! I may have a pair for every day of my stims through retrieval and transfer, which will be perfect! Now if I can just figure out how to post a picture...

@FliegepilzHut: yay! I'm glad you liked them. If we do a IF hand made swap, those crepe paper roses will be something in my arsenal of craft items. I was going to make it look more like your mushroom cap but did not have any red streamers. woohoo for having more than enough socks for each day of your stims!!!

@MrsTal: I love the card humor! If you're weird, then I must have a weird sense of humor as well. Although I don't believe this to be true considering how many of us love the card!

Oh my gosh you guys I have been so busy lately!! Work has me just drained with 3 major project deadlines approaching, possible major restructuring, and then Friday we had a tradegy.

Anyway, I FINALLY got to checking the mail yesterday and this beauty was waiting for me:

There was no name on it so whoever gave it to me, thank you so much!! I love, love, love Essie polish and it made my morning after such a crappy few days.

My buddy didn't get their shipment yet and I feel so bad I originally sent it through expresspost from Canada and it was sent back to me almost a week later. It didn't even make it across the border. By the time I got it back, the May 15th deadline had passed so I ended up purchasing on an online store. I paid for next day shipping but clearly it's not there yet.

I checked the shipping and as of last night, it's the in the right state so I have everything crossed that it will come today!

@alohaorchid: If you are in Canada then I believe that was me that sent that to you. Glad you got it! I was getting worried. I'm so sorry about your tragedy. Glad it made your morning.

@bluestriped bee: I am in Canada so thank you again! I've been thinking about ways to incorporate both colours... I'm thinking some kind of design but I'm not creative lol.

@alohaorchid: oh my goodness !!! Do not apologize!!! I just wanted to make sure it didn't get to the wrong house!! Last thing I ordered online never made it to me! I was so excited to get home from work the other night and see the package on the counter!!! I didn't even realize the color names until later on so clever and thoughtful !!!! Thx much!

@MrsTal: I forgot to post this picture but this is what my toes looked like for my cd13 u/s & cd15 IUI. I'm hoping your luck rubs off on me! actually, pix looked too big of my foot.

@swedishfish: maybe @owlteach: can check the list to see who got which person

@mrs bunchy: @lazypanda: I'm an admin for the elfster swap and I reached out to SwedishFish and her partner. From talking to both people, it looks like it might be MIA in the US mail somewhere. Boo! US mail is so annoying sometimes. Swedish Fish's partner communicated this before.

I believe everyone got their swap or at least knows it's in transit. Let me know if you didn't so I do some detective work.

mail does suck sometimes.. My mom just got a package from Arizona that was empty. There was a hole in the envelope and according to tracking it could be anywhere from there to illinois. In other words- it's a lost cause !

  33. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@mrs bunchy: What?!? That's nuts. I would be so sad if I got an empty package.

I do have to say that I appreciate our mail system, though. I needed to send books to someone in Canada and the prices were about double the price, plus having to worry about the delay at customs. I considered having my DH go to the post office in Canada while he was visiting Vancouver to reduce the transit time, but I went online to estimate shipping and it was $20(!) to ship. I ended up buying the books again from Amazon and having it shipped. It was cheaper and faster through Amazon's export company.

    Just butting in here...

USPS is so unreliable! But if something was sent Priority mail, you get up to $100 in insurance. You have to make a claim online or at the Post Office though.
