Baby socks are great, especially in winter if you don't have your lo in footed sleepers or pants. I really don't know if there can be too many Trumpettes in anyone's dresser.

For socks I think 10 pairs are enough in the winter.... you do so much laundry when they're newborns so even though you need a lot of socks you're constantly washing them.

As far as shoes go, I didn't put any shoes on my LO's feet until she started cruising. We had some hand me downs and some that were gifted that I thought were super cute but they just looked so uncomfy.

I didn't use any socks for LO until he was a few months old. He was born in May and I had a pair of slippers I kept on his feet that were adorable! Now at 5.5 months we have probably 8-10 pairs of socks but since his socks don't get dirty I let him wear each pair a couple times before I wash them.

Soooo many socks, Trumpettes, knock off Trumpettes, plain white ones from Target and hand me downs. They are such a fun little accessory

I have 33 pairs of trumpette socks...I have a problem =P

And you might be disappointed but you will probably learn the trumpette socks don't stay on very well. It gets super annoying and you will probably end up buying more practical socks for around the house.

I got a box of Me in Mind. They stay on and are super cute. They also have a free replacement program.
LO didn't have too many socks. She probably has about 8 pairs that fit her right now.

When she was a newborn/infant she had about a dozen? possibly less.

Socks is #2 on my list of things I wish I didn't have so many of as they are a complete waste of money (newborn hats are #1 on my list, but that's a different story).

LO was born at the start of winter and we had probably 30 pairs of socks (at least!) but she hardly got to wear any of them. A lot of her outfits had feet attached, which was far more practical and convenient for a newborn, so we would only go through 2, maybe 3 pairs of socks per week. Now that she's older, almost 4 months, she wears more two piece outfits that require socks, but we're still not going through more than 5 or 6 pairs a week at most...and since we do laundry more frequently than that, we have so many socks that have never been worn.

And maybe we're just lucky, but we have yet to lose a single sock, so we continue to have this massive sock collection that is just not getting worn.
