What does your SO think about them? I thought DH would think I was nuts for packing bentos for LO but he is totally on board. Maybe because he is Japanese and bentos were a part of his childhood? He even helps occasionally and packs them when I'm too tired!

LO is too young but I am hoping to go the bento box route. I honestly think he will think I am completely nuts when I want to do this. lol.

He thinks I'm kinda nuts but he sees that they make DD more excited about food so he can't argue. And I do all the work anyway so he can just keep his opinions to himself!

I hope to do this with LO when she is older, I'd never heard of it until HB! DH will probably be ok with it, he says he doesn't know much about kids and trusts me to do things I think will work...lol

@autumnlove: that's great that he knows how to pack them! DH just throws the food in the bentos if he has to do it. It's no different than putting her food in a regular tupperware container. LOL. I don't think he gets it, definitely hasn't been exposed to them before!

I totally wanted to do bentos but DH thinks it's crazy.
Plus LO is generally a pretty good eater, so DH's take is basically "if it ain't broke..." -
My MIL used to make bentos for my DH all the time so he thinks they're totally normal. Actually, my mom used to make me bentos (or "doshirak" in Korean) too. She stopped making them once I hit 4th grade because I was too embarrassed to bring them to school. I wanted PBJ sandwiches like all of my friends! My friends would make fun of me for bringing rice and seaweed. Back then, seaweed was weird and gross I guess.
