Every time I put milk I pumped in the freezer, I write it down on a sheet hanging from the fridge, and I asked that every time he takes some out of the fridge, he cross it off so I can keep track of how much there is, so I can pump more if needed and also so that no milk stays in there too long and gets really old.
He wasn't pulling them out in FIFO order so I started putting them in order for him so he wouldn't have to worry about finding the oldest milk to feed the baby because I know that can be stressful if she's hungry and crying. But today I found out he stopped crossing off the milks he's used on the list. And his excuse was the same, "Well, if she's crying, it's hard to do!"
I'm sorry, but it takes literally seconds to draw a line and I have a pen right there to do it. I have tried to make it as easy as possible for him, and it's the littlest thing for him to have to do, when I go through all the trouble of pumping this milk in the first place!
Ugh, I know this isn't even that big of a deal, but it's just the principle of it. I work so hard to make sure she can have milk to eat while I'm at work and all I ask of him is to draw a line and he doesn't do it!
