So I'm on 13 DPO and I tested this morning and got a
Tomorrow is my beta.

I am sorry to hear that @Bluestriped Bee! When is your AF supposed to be coming? Hopefully you still have some time for that to turn around.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Beebee: Last month, I had an IUI with a trigger shot and that cycle was about 29 days. So based of that, I should get AF on Monday 7/21.
coffee bean / 26 posts
That is still plenty of time to get a +. Don't get too discouraged just yet. I know it is so hard to do, but try and keep yourself as busy as possible. I have told myself that I am not testing until I am late lol so let's see how that goes.
I have a question for your....After your IUI's did you have AF cramping going on? I expected cramps but it feels like I am going to start any day now. I know that is not possible, but it sure feels that way.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Beebee: I'm having my beta tomorrow and it will give me a definitive answer. Don't listen to me and my doubt, though. I'm a seasoned veteran of IUIs since this is my 5th IUI.
After my IUI, I had cramping similar to the cramping during my HSGs. Not sure what AF cramping that you speak of. I sometimes feel ovulation cramping and PMS cramping. The cramping that I get in the office is not anything near what regular cramping feels like. Not sure if that's the answer you wanted.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and wishing for the best. Let me know how it goes.

@bluestriped bee: as I mentioned in the check in thread, I still have FX for you that you might have a late implanter. Or even that you may have ovulated on your own like HappyGal did when she got her IUI BFP cycle!
@Beebee: I had some cramps after my IUI but it was more of a dull cramping if that makes any sense. Like it was noticeable where I felt a very dull pain on the side that I knew where the egg was coming from.

@bluestriped bee: I'm sorry I'm still holding out hope that you hear good news tomorrow. I feel like screaming at those pregnancy tests sometimes...

@Beebee: @twodoghouse: @lazypanda: @winter_wonder: @GreenThumb: @sweetooth: I saw some spotting this morning. It might be AF. I go in for my beta in a few hours. Thanks for all your support and well wishes. I'll update later today.

@Lazypanda thanks for the info. My cramping has been on and off. Just trying to not think too much into it. I still have a long ways to go on this TWW.
@Bluestriped bee I will be thinking of you. Good luck!!!!

@bluestriped bee: Thinking of you. I hope it's not AF.
Just had a positive opk this morning. My first IUI is scheduled for Friday morning.

@Winter_wonder good luck on your IUI tomorrow! I am really hoping this will be a lucky month for the both of us!!!

Got my beta results and it was . Onto my last third (or sixth) IUI. Feel like de ja vu. I remember feeling so bummed after my last second failed IUI.

@bluestriped bee: so sorry to hear about the negative beta. I know it's hard to hold out hope, after all these attempts not giving you the result you want so much. IF struggles hit on so many different levels, from physically and emotionally to financially, ugh. We will get there someday!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@momazon: Thanks.
I'm going to have a big whine fest! We leave for Disney in 16 days. Would love for AF to come so I could possibly fit an IUI in before our trip. If we don't, I'll be completely bummed...

@bluestriped bee: I am really sorry to hear about the beta. And I hope that you get that next one in before the trip!! You definitely deserve it!
kiwi / 613 posts
@bluestriped bee: you SHOULD have a big whine fest, you've earned it! I think it helps to wallow in a bit of woe-is-me for a bit-- you know you'll eventually snap out of it, but it's good to get it out of your system. I hope the timing works out for you, sounds like it's going to be a bit tight! I know I'm always so eager to move onto the next one, when something fails. Makes me feel like at least I'm heading in a positive direction. Fingers crossed!

@GreenThumb: @momazon: Thanks! My last two IUI cycles, I've been triggering between day 9-11 of my cycle, so there is some hope and some cushion. If I was triggering closer to 15 days, I think it would be harder. Come on AF! I was spotting this morning, so I'm just waiting for the rest of AF to come.

@bluestriped bee: I'm so sorry! you deserve a whine feat and wine fest. Big hugs to you.

@bluestripedbee: I'm so sorry to hear that. So frustrating! I can't believe the human race isn't near extinction with all the crap that is necessary with timing, environment, quality of egg and sperm, motility, ovulation, etc etc etc that goes in to ttc! It just doesn't seem fair sometimes.
I work with children as a pediatric nurse. In the home I work in there are 6 children, 3 with disabilities and 3 without that are all adopted. 2 of the children are siblings and their mother just KEEPS popping out children. She does drugs, sleeps with everyone that moves and has NO trouble getting pregnant! I will never understand that and it makes it so frustrating for those of us who try so hard and try to do everything right. Sorry... rant over.
As for me... I start 100mg of Clomid on Saturday and it makes me a BEAR! Does anyone else have this problem! I have warned my family to step lightly and ignore me if I pick a fight and then cry about it.

@bluestriped bee: Ugh, I'm so sorry I'm sorry that you didn't get a and I'm sorry that IF has to be so hard

@bluestriped bee: I'm sorry for the negative beta. I remember you mentioning that you go to acupuncture, did your acupuncturist mention anything about this cycle? I hope that you get to squeeze in an iui cycle, otherwise, I hope that your vacation is a lucky unmedicated cycle!
nectarine / 2705 posts
@bluestriped bee: Hugs! Go ahead and indulge in your whinefest - and then outline your plan so you can focus on that. And then have a wonderful time in Disney World, or Land? Florida or California? Enjoy the escape into fantasy and indulge in ways that make you happy.

@bluestriped bee I am so sorry to hear the news. Take the moment and have your whine fest and start fresh next cycle.

@twodoghouse: Thanks. When I read your comment yesterday, I immediately felt like going home and making some pina coladas. But sadly I didn't find the time last night. Maybe today. I did get some Krispy Kreme donuts to make myself feel a little bit better. I was going to post it on IG about 'When things don't go my way..." but I wasn't sure if I wanted that attention yet or the questions. Plus, I don't like when people post vague attention-seeking posts. In the end, I didn't really do anything yesterday. I could see the DH was really upset, he told his mom and his mom posted "hugs" on my FB wall, which I was a tad annoyed she posted that on my wall instead of just texting me. (I think her wall post, threw off my urge to post. I think questions would have definitely been asked if I posted something on IG and FB.) I'm numb, right now. There are moments of anger (last night on my drive home) and this morning, was just feeling depressed and didn't feel like talking to anyone. I wish I wasn't at work, right now. Just want to go home and go to bed.
@fotolori1: Yup, life isn't fair and I have no idea why 'someone' doesn't think we are worthy enough to have children. What are we doing wrong? What do we have to fix to be worthy? (I say 'someone' because my religious faith is not on my good side at this moment... or in the last few months.)
@winter_wonder: Thanks.
@lazypanda: I see my accupuncturist about once a week and right around the time I get my IUI and then she gives me a break from treatments during the TWW. She didn't say anything was off this cycle.
@sweetooth: I'm going to Disney World. Thanks.
@Beebee: Thanks.

@bluestriped bee: You deserve a piƱa colada tonight! I hope the rest of your day goes quickly so you can get home and try to relax. I'm sorry your mIL posted on your Facebook about it. Letting people know about your IF and treatment is such a catch 22. It's so nice to have people to rely on for love and support. But then sometimes when things don't go well it just adds so much to the disappointment and stress. Big hugs today sweetie!
persimmon / 1479 posts
@bluestriped bee: I hope you're able to relax this weekend..or maybe enjoy more donuts ...or do something nice for yourself! I couldn't help but think of you at my appointment today...I admire your strength. I hope you get your soon, you so deserve it! Fx you can sneak in one more IUI before Disney!
I was so nervous for my appointment today...absolutely terrified that the insemination (or at least catheter) would be as painful as the hsg one. The nurse was awesome and so reassuring Bring on the TWW!

I'm curious if anyone in this thread has had a UTI after their IUI? I spent this afternoon at urgent care due to one I wonder if this is a fluke? But, I'm highly suspicious it was because of my IUI on Friday.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@winter_wonder: I haven't had that happen or heard of that. I mean, the IUI should be no where near the urethra and I would hope the instruments doctors use are clean. Have you had sex recently? I've only gotten an UTI twice from having sex. I hope you feel better soon!
persimmon / 1479 posts
@PurplePumps: DH and I had sex on Friday night after the IUI. I hope this isn't TMI....but DH and I were in a different position than we normally do. Maybe that was the culprit
Thank you! The meds are definitely helping
kiwi / 636 posts
@winter_wonder: I haven't had this experience. I hope it passes quickly though! oh & with TTC & IF, I don't really think there's TMI especially considering how many vaginal ultrasounds we go through!
persimmon / 1479 posts
@lazypanda: Thank you for the well wishes and for saying you don't mind the TMI part! lol
