@mama2em: I remember your story for sure and I am hoping your next cycles gets you a . Are they changing your protocol this cycle?
grape / 91 posts
@mrswin: yes. last time, i was on 300 IU of follistim and 150IU of menopur, with ganirelix and then trigger. this time, i am currently on bcp (only for 7-10 days), then will start micro dose lupron followed shortly with 450 IU of follistim and 150 IU of menopur. i'm also doing a growth stimulating hormone called omnitrope and possibly a double trigger at the end. i wish i knew the why's of all the medication i'll be taking, but i'm trying to just trust my RE and hoping she learned from my last cycle.

@mama2em: I think I had 11 also when they checked my AFC. He was fine with that # even though I had more the previous month.
I ended up getting 22 eggs and got OHSS so you never know what your body will do on those crazy meds!

Just wanted to say a quick hello! No news here (still working with Lupron injections and estrogen patches). DH and I are going away this weekend for the first time ever without LO (who is 17 months). We are so excited!! And hoping a relaxing time will do us/me a lot of good. FET is quickly approaching 2 weeks away!

@GreenThumb: That sounds wonderful! Hope you have a great time!
I'll be taking my last BCP today, then starting estrogen in 2-3 days! Just got my IVF plan/signed agreement sent off in the mail as well.

@GreenThumb: I'm feeling a little jittery....
ETA: More yoga, I guess...and maybe some acupuncture after all.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: thank you for your reply! wow, that's amazing, although you had to deal with OHSS. i'm really hoping and praying that i'll have a better response this time around!
@fliegepilzhut: guess what? i was supposed to stop taking bcp on friday but they moved it up to today! we are seriously on the same schedule, it's kind of amazing!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@mama2em: That's awesome! You might actually get there sooner than I will at this point! Any idea how many days you might stim? When's your first injection day? Very excited and hopeful for both of us!
grape / 91 posts
@FliegepilzHut: actually, i had a question for you and any other ladies that might have had experience with this. i am supposed to start lupron the first day i see a bleed from stopping bcps. do you remember when you had a bleed for your cycle after stopping bcps? i will start stims 2 days after starting lupron and i anticipate going for 10 days or so...my tentative ER is 11/21.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@mama2em: Back in the day, I thought it only took 2 days... But during my IVF cycle, it looks like I started bleeding 4 days after my last BCP! I'm supposed to start estrogen "CD#1" and then will have my lining check on 11/21...if okay, FET will be on 11/26! If all goes well, we will be on EXACTLY the same TWW!!!
grape / 91 posts
@FliegepilzHut: oh wow, ok..i find it weird that my body will have a bleed after stopping the bcps, even though i just had my real af 2 weeks ago?! how is that possible...
anyway, i'm glad we are on the same schedule and i hope i will be lucky this time around to respond well, make it to a transfer, etc...! one day at a time though for me!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@mama2em: It'll probably be very light, but you would've built up a little lining in that time, I imagine. Definitely...one day at a time for all of us!

The miscarriage has started.... at 5.5 weeks. Either a LONG drawn out chemical, or just an early loss. Either way, CD1. Thank god! I've left a message with my clinic and hopefully will hear news today on whether I can cycle straight away. Please cross your fingers and toes for us!

Well, the nurse rang back - said we should just go ahead tomorrow, since I'm CD1 & the hcg was on its way down.
Eeeeeeeeeeeep. We might be starting up again sooner rather than later!

@jaguar: That' s amazing! I'm so happy for you that you can move on so quickly. I'm so hopeful for you!!!
@FliegepilzHut: I know, it is tough to stay steady with so much hope/anticipation/nervous anxiety floating around. I have to admit while I am excited, I'm also kind of in denial that it's actually happening. I'm just glad we all have each other to talk to.

@GreenThumb: Enjoy your "adults only" trip Sounds fun! Good way to destress before the fet!
@FliegepilzHut: So exciting!

Day 6 update!!!! 7 made it to the freezer!!!!!!
Lucky number 7!
I am having some abdominal pain. It's discomfort. Not horrible. It feels like a bad stomach ache. Last night, I woke up with a stomach pain twice. I had to sit up to have it go away. Could this be the start of mild OHSS?

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thanks!
@GreenThumb: I seem to be my own worst enemy right now. Hopefully I'll start to settle in once I start the meds. It is nice that a handful of us will all be waiting together...and can commiserate.

@bluestriped bee: Congrats!!! I hope it's not OHSS... FX that you feel better soon!

@bluestriped bee: if it is OHSS, the good news is it'll be gone once you get your period. Congrats on the 7 frosties!!! That's such a relief, huh? Now you just have to rest up and try to survive all that waiting

Ok ladies, I'd like to know if you guys think I'm completely off my rocker.
I was talking to my SIL about her kids and then she asks me if I'm still trying. She has no idea any details of what is going on now. The only thing she knows is that when she announced her pregnancy last July or Aug, that I had been trying for almost a year already. So I just dodge the question cause I really don't want to get into it. But she presses and asks if I'm still trying or if I've given up on it and the idea of having kids. It just kinda pissed me off and I was just like why would I give up? And she asks if I was just over it because trying was too much of a pain in the ass.
I was pretty annoyed and pissed. Like of course it's a pain in the ass, but do you just give up?? I have a 4 bedroom house in one of the best school districts in the state. She KNOWS children was in the plans for us. We want kids, do you just give up cause it's HARD?? What a STUPID question!!! Or I'm just being too sensitive?
