@winter_wonder: Almost there! Are you in a shared donor program, or a 1:1? We got daily updates on the days she went in for follicle monitoring, so it was comforting to be able to hear her progress. Same with your plan?

@momazon: Wow, what a great update. FX! And I agree, 24! What a trooper your donor is!
AFM, just started lupron last Wed. Suppression check on Thursday and stims to start probably Saturday if that looks good.
I just noticed on the Novarel packaging that it says to store between 68-77. Now, it's just powder and water, so if it got a bit hot in tne house, say 82-85 for a few days, that should still be ok right? I'm debating if I should order another.
Stupid me, I can't keep an of these meds in the right temp. Hindsight a b!tch, I so should have called to delay the delivery once I found out we were waiting. ughhhh.

@momazon: We're doing a 1:1. The cost is absolutely disgusting, but I'm hopeful we'll get lots of eggs. We don't get tons of updates unless something doesn't go as planned out next update is about a week before her estimated retrieval.
@purplepumps: hmmm....I would probably still use it since there is only a slight temp difference. But, if it's not too ridiculously expensive I might order a new one just for peace of mind. Good luck with stims!

@momazon: Sending tons of sticky dust your way!!! What an amazing cycle for your donor!
@winter_wonder: FX for your upcoming retrieval and transfer!!!
@PurplePumps: You might just ask your clinic... Will be thinking of you!
kiwi / 613 posts
@PurplePumps: I would definitely just use the meds! that's only a little bit over, right? At least it's not too crazy expensive if your clinic tells you to replace. (So strange that a $100 shot seems cheap next to multi-hundred$/night stim shots.)

@winter_wonder: maybe we got updates (baseline plus whenever she had a monitoring appt) because there is always a chance someone will be cancelled and not get eggs in the 1:3 program? We were in first position this time so weren't scared but it must be nerve-wracking to be in third position. The 1:1 should give you lots of great eggs to work with (but OUCH on the price!!!!)

@PurplePumps: Only a few more days till stims start!! Yay! Sounds like you and @winter_wonder may end up transferring around the same time?
persimmon / 1479 posts
@FliegepilzHut: thank you!
@momazon: you're right!! I just noticed that @purplepumps and our donor start stims on the same day so exciting!

@winter_wonder: Looks like it! Good luck cycle buddy!!
For those that have done multiple cycles, has your suppression check E2 levels been pretty consistent? I'm probably totally over analyzing cause that's what I do, but my levels have always been 29.x during the sup check and I just saw that they are about 50 today. I know there's always variation, but the last 3 checks were so close. Why would it be so much higher this time? (Still waiting on the call from my doctor on her analysis and instructions)

She said it was ok and not going to be exactly the same everytime, I felt kind of stupid asking cause I had a feeling that'd be the answer.
Cleared to start tomorrow! 200iu Gonal-F, decrease lupron from 10 to 5. (This is new to me, last cycle, they kept it at 10 the whole time). She said that decreasing it allows for more eggs to develop?

OMG OMG OMG, laides I need to be talked off this ledge right now.
So SIL just posted on FB that she was giving away all her (pretty nice) baby stuff. She's 1 of 3 people that knows we've been trying. (The same one that asked me if I had given up trying cause it was just too hard). Normally I wouldn't bring up and plan anything for a baby until actually pregnant, but since she was giving everything away, I mentioned maybe she can give some stuff like her pack and play to her parents in case we have a baby (We fly to visit and DH wants to visit 4x/year so they are close to their grand kid). (She doesn't know we're doing IVF, but I'm feeling optimistic this cycle, a girl can still hope right?). She'd already given it away when I talked to her, ok no problem. Someone posted they wanted it and she said it was gone. But then she just posted that person backed out and that poster could have it... on one condition. And I quote "I'll need it back in the (very unlikely) event that my brother has a kid". ***very unlikely*** thank you SO much for that. Especially for putting it on facebook when NO ONE KNOWS we're even trying. WHAT THE F*(#@!*$!?!?!?! WHO THE HELL DOES THAT!!!!!

@PurplePumps: Holy cow I would be fuming mad...FUMING! You know what, you don't need anything from her, because it would be covered in bad ju-ju. Stay in your place of hope right now - and know that there's a community here on HB that can help you get those things you need when you DO get pregnant
Thinking of all of you in the beginning, middle and end of cycles. Always checking in and sending good vibes to everyone that has to deal with infertility.

@PurplePumps: WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! I would text her and tell her to delete/edit that comment ASAP. And then probably not talk to her again for a long time. Jeeeeeez, some people.
pear / 1770 posts
@PurplePumps: What a b!tch. Seriously, I would be so pissed off right now - such a nasty comment, and so unnecessary. Agree with @sweettooth - you don't want anything from her anyway! Can your DH say something to her about her inappropriate comments?
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@sweetooth: @Shutterbug: @ms.line: Thanks. I was just thinking I could save her parents from rebuying stuff, but it wasn't a big deal. If she was going to give it away, she could've just done that and didn't need to throw in that stipulation, geez. Naw, I don't want DH to say anything. If I need something said, I'd have no issue saying it myself. I was fuming when I saw it, but I'm over it now. And she can leave it there for all I care... if anyone else sees it and wonders, she's the one showing what a crass person she is.

OOOOOMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGG
And to top the day off I just did my first dose of Gonal tonight and when I pulled the pen out, a bunch of blood ended up in the pen. There goes my entire 900iu pen. (well, minus todays one dose)... but FFFF)#()#($)@#($#K!!!!! I think I need to go to the corner and just scream.

@PurplePumps: OMG your sister-in-law is so ridiculous! I'm sorry you're having to deal with her nonsense. She sounds clueless. And SUCKS about the meds. Any chance your RE can contact their Serono rep and get you a comp pen???
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@momazon: I was just googling up and read that as a possibility too. Thanks!

@PurplePumps: So unbelievable! And good on you for being the "bigger" person!
persimmon / 1114 posts
@PurplePumps: ugh! What a couple of days! I cannot believe your sister-in-law. Hopefully you can get a new pen easily.

@momazon: I missed that you had your transfer! Fingers crossed for you!!!

@Shutterbug: @bloved: @FliegepilzHut: Eeeeeeks I had a very faint second line today on a FRER! So so so squinty but it's there! Hoping this one is a sticky one! I'm going to retest on Tuesday, hopefully it's still going to be a BFP!
I'm 5dp5dt today.

@momazon: Oh my!!!! I'm so excited for you! Absolutely everything crossed for a H&H 9months ahead!
(And in the meantime, I hope you're able to relax and take it one hopeful day at a time!

@momazon: Yayyyy post the pic when it gets darker @PurplePumps: I am so sorry you have to deal with a SIL like that. You are better off without her stuff, she is just ridiculous! Hugs.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@momazon: holy cow! that's awesome! Congrats!!!
I emailed the nurse Friday night and she just responded that she'll look into what they can do about the pen that got blood in it. She said she's never heard of that happening before! Just my luck of course. lol.
pear / 1986 posts
@momazon: Fantastic news!!
@PurplePumps: What the heck with that pen?! Maybe the pharmacy you bought it from will give you a replacement? Hopeful for you for this cycle!!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@GreenThumb: I asked my doctor this morning and she said there was actually a batch of pens before that were defective and had issues injecting a whole dose down to 0 and they replaced all of those. But she's never heard of blood going back into the pen either. It sounds hopeful that either the pharmacy or manufacturer will replace the pen though. fingers crossed. (My order had 4, of which I should only need 2 for the cycle so I hope I don't even need it, but just in case... i still want it!)
pear / 1986 posts
@PurplePumps: I was thinking maybe there was a defect! I really hope they do get you a replacement, or maybe your money back if you don't need a new pen. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
