@NorthStar: hey, we were just talking about something similar a few weeks back when I was ordering my meds. They prescribed me 4 x 900 IU pens, but I asked them to change it to 10 x 300 IU pens so I could take advantage of the overfill (about 75 IU in the 300 IU pens and not relatively more in the 900 ones apparently). So with the overfill, I'll more than make up the difference and this saved me $500! (I'm OOP). So consider that!
That said, now it looks like they are increasing my dose so that I may need a lot more throughout stimming than they originally thought. I'll probably be ordering more, which is a pain because the best pricing for OOP-ers seems to be WinFertility and they require two Rx to create a bundle so I'll have to ask for some extra something's. Anyway, I think you aren't OOP so this may not apply. But it's possible they could increase your dose and so having extra isn't always bad.

@Amorini: Thanks! I'll have to do some trying of different scenarios to see what makes sense. I am OOP, so I'm trying to find the best deal I can

@bloved: thank you so much for letting me know about how you are happy with three day transfers. I'm nervous to receive my doctors call tomorrow morning about whether I need to go in for the three day transfer and you are making me feel a bit better.
@NorthStar: if I were you, I'd order all the meds. I thought for sure my doctor prescribed my too much, but I ended up needing an extra day of meds and somewhere along the lines my dosage was increased. Luckily my doctors office gave me the extra day of meds because how else would I have gotten them in time? (I have yet to know if I'll be charged for them.)
@jaguar: thank you so much! I always love to hear from you.
@Amorini: how are you doing?!?!

I went to dinner with my husband, my mom and her husband tonight. All three spent the entire dinner talking as if I was already pregnant. That's awkward.
Then I came home and checked my email and saw a great doesn't-come-around-often deal on flights to Australia. Offer ends Monday the 21st. Ugh. What to do???

@agold: A million times better than earlier this week, thanks! I'm 1.5 days into stims and I feel some twinges of activity. I feel like the Lupron storm has past (even though I'm still on a little of it.) Just feeling so much better about things overall. Cant wait to hear your updates!

@Amorini: I'm so glad you are feeling better. You've got this!!!
@jaguar: I know, right??
My re called promptly at 8 am and let me know I'm good to go for a five day transfer on Monday! And I still have 7 embryos going strong. Phew.

@bloved: Thanks!
Would you girls exercise the morning of your fresh embryo transfer?
I feel like if I ask my re he will say no because he has said no to everything I ask about. Just want to know your thoughts about it. I suppose I could just sit still in bubble wrap until Monday. sorry, my family is stressing me out!
persimmon / 1132 posts
@agold: Woohoo! Congrats on the magnificent 7! Will you transfer one or two, I can't remember? How is PIO treating you?
ETA: On the exercise thing, My RE said light exercise (walking, gentle yoga) up until ET was fine. I'd just follow orders, in any case.
persimmon / 1114 posts
@agold: I would! I went for a long walk the morning of my transfer. I thought it would be good to get the blood flowing!
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Amorini: light exercise sounds great! I want to take a spin class but I can so easily modify it to make it light. I plan to transfer two! Eek! My husband and I are really nervous about twins. But still, two seems what we want. ,y sister transferred two and got one, so maybe I'm just copying her.
@bloved: I was also thinking about getting blood flowing. Thanks for letting me know you did a long walk. That sounds great.

@agold: That's awesome! I don't know how the percentages usually work but not losing any between 1-3 days has to be pretty good right? Will they do grading to figure out which of the embryos to transfer on Day 5?
@amorini: It really isn't a long time for the stims in the grand scheme of things- it will go by fast :). I'm sorry for that extra stress you and @NorthStar have to go through with figuring out meds with paying OOP. You ladies are amazing!
@AmeliaBedilia: I'm really sorry :(.
Retrieval went well- I was surprised how quick it was. I have to admit though that I was sort of naive about how long recovery would take. I thought I'd be back to normal after 24 hours but today I'm still pretty sore. I'm not sure if I'm out of the woods yet with the OHSS (I think so- no real symptoms) but I'm still trying to keep up with the Gatorade and salt. We had 26 eggs retrieved and they called today to say 12 fertilized. We'll get updates on Day 3 and Day 5. If 1/2 make it to the PGD testing I'll be happy but I'm still scared that none of them are good :(. We've just had nothing but disappointment this year and the percentages have never worked in our favor so it's hard to be optimistic.
persimmon / 1132 posts
@dookie32: Yay for 12 growing embies! I'm so sorry you are still feeling lousy. 26 is a lot to retrieve! Congrats! It's all for good and I'm sure you'll be back to normal soon. Looking forward to hearing your 3 and 5-day updates and thinking only the best for you! It's hard to juggle optimism with our past experiences, but hope you can stay busy and keep your mind from going "there" too much. You are doing everything humanly possible to get a positive outcome here and that is all anyone can do.
Thanks for your encouragement. I feel a little "runner's high" right now after the hard week and I can see the ER finish line isn't too far off.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I'm sorry you are worrying so much at this point. I hope your upcoming travels will be good and distracting.
@Amorini: Do you know yet when your ER is tentatively scheduled for?!? (Sorry if I missed it) I'm sure it will come up quick. Honestly I can't believe how time flew by for me. It seemed slow while I was doing stims, but now, with transfer two days away, its crazy fast! It will be the same for you!
@dookie32: Woo hoo!! 12 fertilized embryos!! That's amazing! When does the PGD occur? I'm so excited for you. I'm sorry you are feeling so sore still. I didn't feel back to normal until this morning, so three full days including day of retrieval. You will get there! Try not to worry and just sleep as much as you can. You will feel better soon.
AND GIRLS! I just got done with the intramuscular PIO and estradiol shots. They were NOT bad. Not bad at all. I felt like the stomach shots were worse. Gees. I hyped myself up so much for days over this. So just know. Its not mad at all.
persimmon / 1132 posts
@agold: Yay! Glad the IM shots aren't bad. I have to give myself the trigger so I'm a little nervous about how that will go.
The schedule that gave me says 9/30 for ER. That would be 13 days of stims. Does anyone know if that seems about average? I've been trying to find information on the range of days most ladies stim (like 10-14 days or whatever) just to get an idea for how long or short this could go. I asked my nurse this and all I got back was that I'll know 36 hours prior when I trigger. Um... Thanks!
ETA: Oops, in all of this, I forgot about the trigger 36-hours before ER. I won't stim and trigger on the same day, right? So that means my schedule of ER on 9/30 assumes 10 days of stims, the trigger and day after, then ER.
persimmon / 1114 posts
@dookie32: congrats on a successful retrieval. I hope they continue to grow and develop nicely so you have lots to choose from!
pear / 1881 posts
@dookie32: what a wonderful number of eggs!! What kind of salty things are you eating? Try to stay positive and hope they have answers soon. When will you know results of pgd testing and when would the transfer be?
@agold: yay for the 5 day transfer and glad the IM shots were not too bad. I might have to give myself the hcg shot, so I was dreading it after seeing the needle on Wednesday.
@Amorini: I think my nurse told me average for stims is about 10 days. I don't have my book with me, so I cannot remember if you will stim on day of hcg. At least you will have one day of no shots!
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Amorini: I really didn't think the trigger shot was that bad. For some reason, I also thought the needle looked massive, but it reminded me of the tiny follistim needle.
To answer your previous question, I did stim meds for 11 days. When I did my trigger shot, I also did a ganirelix shot, but that isn't considered a stim shot, I don't think. And you are right, with your schedule, you will have 10 days. I was supposed to have 10, but my doctor added an 11th day. Funny that your nurse totally didn't answer your question!
@NorthStar: I gave myself the trigger and it wasn't any worse than any of the others. So I'm sorry I feel behind in there, but are you already moving on to IVF at this time? You just finished up with a bummer IUI, right? I'm so excited for you! When are you starting?
kiwi / 538 posts
@Amorini @NorthStar: We'll get a 5 day update on Wed which will tell us how many they'll have to test. I'm actually not sure how long it will take for us to get the PGD results- hopefully not more than a few days. That's the only news that matters! They are going to be prepping me for my FET before getting the results I think- I'm supposed to call my nurse Wed to get my starting dose of Lupron. They said the transfer should be in a few weeks but I think it all depends on my lining and progesterone levels.
I heard 10 days of stims is the norm- I did 11. My Ganirelix shot was in the morning so I did do that on the day of the trigger. I think they can't really get more specific because a lot of it just depends on how you are reacting to the drugs. They were tweaking my dosages almost every day for the last 5 days and then monitoring my estrogen levels.
I started Endometrin yesterday- ugh these things are gross. I think I'd rather be doing shots!

How long did you ladies have between when you decided to do IVF and actually starting? We are starting to plan holiday trips and it is likely we will be doing IVF around that time. This month is no treatment due to travel, next cycle is third IUI, and if that doesn't work, then probably IVF. Would I likely move straight into IVF cycle as soon as AF comes? I have debilitating migraines and birth control pills are contraindicated, so I shouldn't be on those to start.
pear / 1881 posts
@agold: No, I'll be starting my lupron shots on 10/20, so I have about a month to go yet. I'm hoping this current cycle will be our miracle cycles and we can cancel IVF, but trying to be realistic too. I just filled my birth control pills so that I'm all ready once AF does come.
@dookie32: That's awesome that you should be able to do your FET so soon after! I know that some women have to wait at least a cycle, so I hope they get your results back quickly!
@AmeliaBedilia: When my period came on 9/1 (after my third IUI), I called my RE's nurses and said that it came and that we wanted to proceed with IVF. The earliest they could have started stims for me would have been around 10/16, with an egg retreival around 10/26. Because of my work schedule, I asked if we could push it back two weeks, so that is what we did. So, now, i'll be starting lupron shots on 10/20, the stims on 10/30, with an egg retrieval around 11/11. I'm guessing it would take a cycle or two to get to the point of being able to do IVF. Certain things have to be lined up: testing (for me: HSG or SHG, STD testing, FSH, AMH and some other tests. for DH: sperm penetration assay test, regular sperm analysis), financing has to be arranged, meeting with the RE and a nurse consult to go over how to administer the meds. Plus, purchasing all the meds. If you can't be on birth control, just make sure that they know that as it seems like a common course of action to quiet the ovaries. I'm so sorry that you might have to go down this path..
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I agree with @NorthStar: that it would take a cycle or two before the iVF will start once you have your IVF consult with your RE. I would just focus on your upcoming IUI first. Then worry about IVF after it, if at all. Then call your RE when you are ready. Once you start your stims, you will be monitored fairly regularly at your RE's office so travel will be tough.
@dookie32: That is so awesome that you will be able to do FET so quickly!!! I'm praying your 12 embryos are still all growing strong!
@NorthStar: That is so very exciting you are moving right along. But I also hope that you have a miracle cycle. Its not a long shot - it happens to so many girls!!

Hi All! New here, but have read thru every post on IVF thread #3 over the last few days.:)
A little history: Married for just about 3 years. TTC for 2 years. After 1 year, sent to an RE. Husband now 35 now, I'm 34. Have spent almost a year going thru every diagnostic test, procedure and bt under the sun. Nothing wrong, nothing abnormal. Slight MF, but not of much concern due to high quantity. Have had 2 back to back IUI's (July and August of 2015). Responded overwhelmingly to 50mg of clomid on both cycles (first cycle 4 follicles measuring over 22, with post wash count of 31 mil, 2nd cycle was 5 follicles measuring over 22 with post wash of over 10 mil). Dr. was very hesitant to do the 2nd IUI due to number of follicles, but went ahead. Failed again. We were planning to do another IUI while we got our ducks in a row for IVF, but the dr. said no more IUI's and need to go straight to IVF now since everything was "perfect" for the IUI's and they didn't work. We got included in the monthly case review, which happened to be the next day, and I was started on BC the day after (once we got approval to be included in this round). Last night was day 1 of stims. 150iu of Gonal F and 75iu of Menopur. Next appointment is Thursday morning to see how everything is moving along. While I'm definitely not happy that this is the path that we're having to go down, I'm happy (like all of you that I've read about) to be given the opportunity to do IVF at all, and that we were given a 90% chance of this working within 3 cycles. I'm so glad this board exists so I can move forward with more information and support along the way. I relate in every single way to all of these posts. So comforting to see others in the same boat at the same time.

@waiting4you: Welcome! Sorry to hear about your struggles. Wow, sounds like you respond great to stims! Did your RE make a guess as to why the IUIs didn't work if everything was perfect? A 90% IVF chance sounds pretty amazing! I don't think my odds are anywhere that high, but it's still worth it to try. I'm on my fourth day of stims so we are really going through this together.
@dookie32: Wow, so fast! That's wonderful! Looking forward to hearing that they are beautiful!
@AmeliaBedilia: I concur with @agold and @Northstar on timing.
@agold: Wasn't your transfer today?!?! Did I miss something? How did it go?
Thanks @dookie32: @agold: and @NorthStar: for your replies on average stim days. It's making sense now. I had my E2 tested this AM. It's fine so I'm still pounding 450 IU of Follistim every evening (plus a little Ovidrel and Lupron in the morning) and will continue to for at least a few more days. I'm really hoping something is happening down there!
As of today, they told me today to plan for a total of 12 days at this max dose...and so I am ordering more. But hey, I'm a third of the way there!
pear / 1986 posts
Oh boy ladiesโฆ I forgot how quickly everything can move along on here!! I can't get on here as much as I'd like, but I'm thinking of you!!
@Amorini: So glad things look good with your E2 - when is your next monitoring appointment? You are doing a Lupron protocol? Did you do BCPs before starting the Lupron? If so, for how long?
@waiting4you: Hi there! So sorry your've had no success with the IUIs and I wish you so much luck with the IVF instead!!
@agold: How are you doing? Hope all is well!!!
@NorthStar: I think if we end up moving forward with our IVF in the next little bit, I think I'll be stemming just after you! I think I'm going to be doing a Lupron protocol, too, this time. How long will you be on BCPs (approx.) before starting Lupron?
@AmeliaBedilia: We had our diagnosis in April and I was stimming in June. There several different IVF protocols, so I'm sure your RE will choose the right one for your specific situation. This is such a hard time of year for planning treatment around the holidays! I'm pretty sure we will either end up cycling right around Thanksgiving or Christmas, too.
@dookie32: Wising you a great number on Wednesday for your PGD. I hope they get those results asap so you can head right in for the FET!!
AFM - I had my endometrial biopsy, mock transfer, and hysteroscopy today. I was really anxious about the biopsy being painful, but I honestly did not know that he had even done it. The nurse commented that it was over and I was so relieved! Results in a week or so. Uterus looked good and he didn't seem to have any issues with the mock transfer so hopefully we've crossed all the hurdles on my end. Have to get DH going on another SA - hopefully next week. Then final info on the insurance changes (FX) soon, too!

@waiting4you: Wow! That's all a lot really quick. But your history sounds nearly identical to mine. How do you feel about skipping the third Iui? I, personally, chose only to do two and I'm really comfortable with that decision. Did you purchase a three Ivf cycle guarantee or money back type of thing? Do you get a discount by being part of that case review study? (I'm so cheap, I look for discounts everywhere. ) how are you doing with the stims? And will you be doing a fresh or frozen cycle? Ha! Enough questions for now. So sorry. I'm bored on bed rest! Welcome here and I hope you find this group helpful. There's a handful of girls going through or just about to go through Ivf now.
@Amorini: Hi! Yes! My transfer was today!!! Woo hoo!! I've been staring at my picture of my two embryos all day. They look great to me! I transferred two at the doctors suggestion. He said 5% chance for twins ( husbands question). So I'm a tad bummed because the embryos were graded "B". Just "B". A would have been better. But doctor said not to worry so I'm trying not to. (Oh doctor, you mean don't consume myself with feelings that my body is old and decrepit? Sure thing! ) I like to imagine that the embryos are boys and that's why they were just happy to make it to just the b stage. I still have 5 embryos that are growing and will hopefully make it to tomorrow to be frozen. The RE will call me early in the morning to let me know about those 5. He didn't say much today about them. Sorry for the lengthy post!! I'm bored in bed!
and it feels so silly to get excited over this. I was only given like a 50ish percent odds for success. But still. I like to look at the embryos and think they are little growing baby boys!
And don't worry about 12 days of stims. I know each day sucks and is slow, but it really all goes by so fast. I hope you are feeling okay. You are getting so close!!
@GreenThumb: hi thanks for asking! I'm doing as great as can be I think! I'm so sorry I've missed your insurance updates but I really really hope you get some good coverage. I've had coverage apply for some really random things like HSG, HSS and oral meds. But the bulk has been (gulp) out of pocket. It's tough but it is what it is! I'm so glad your tests today were easy and painless. And cheers to a good looking uterus!! lastly, my sister did an Ivf cycle in December. She was on bed rest on Christmas Day and we had to celebrate Christmas at her house!!! It brought about my niece so alls well that ends well!!

@agold: yes, once the ball finally got rolling (I think they finally ran out of tests after about 10 months of testing), it went quick. I have mixed feelings on stopping at the 2nd IUI. I really don't like the idea of super high risk for multiples based on how I reacted to the drugs but feel like there may have still been a chance that we could have had success without having to turn to IVF. However, financially it also made sense to move on to IVF. We found out we have $15k in infertility coverage thru insurance. The longer we went with IUI's, the further into that $15k we were digging. Doctor was confident that we needed to move on, so we decided to just go with it. I wish it was a "case study" situation, but it was only a case review of the RE's potential IVF patients. I guess they only take so many people once a month. Not sure what the criteria was to make it in to any given round, but because we were already done with all testing I'm sure we were easy to include. So after the IUI's we ended up with just under $12k left for IVF. We have to come up with about $4k out of pocket to pay for the rest. Our insurance doesn't pay for any "multi plans" or refund cycles so this is our "one shot" unless we get something to freeze. Even then, we'll have to wait till we can afford a FET cycle. Like many of you, we bought the "forever home" with rooms for kids and the yard fit for a swing set. Because of just purchasing our dream home, we don't have a lot left for IVF. Fingers crossed this is it!!!
So exciting that you had your transfer today!!! 2 boys...sounds perfect!! Sending lots of well wishes your way!!!

@agold: Yay I was waiting to see your update today! Glad to hear everything went well. You SHOULD be excited- positive energy for those little guys :)! When will you go in for your 1st beta?
@waiting4you: Sorry you are joining us but welcome! Sounds like the odds of this working for you are really high- hopefully you get lucky with the first try. Stims will fly by I swear :). I was on Gonal F and Menopur as well- how is it going for you so far?
@AmeliaBedilia: Once we decided to do IVF, I had to wait for my period and then have a saline sonogram to make sure there weren't any issues after my D&C. I was on BC for 3 weeks and then started stims. I would think that if you are doing IVF with the same dr you've done your IUIs with you won't have to do any new testing and the schedule should move along quickly. At least if it's around the holidays the waiting will go by fast :).
@GreenThumb: Woo hoo progress! All the testing is so annoying but it will hopefully be done soon.
@amorini: Not too much longer- hang in there!! How are you feeling?
apricot / 344 posts
@dookie32: So far it is going better than expected! Glad to hear you're on the same meds about the same time! What's next for you? the one thing I have to say is that my dr.'s office is not great about communication. I have a schedule but it only goes till Thursday. Yet I have a box full of drugs at the house and no idea when I'll be taking any of them. I probably wouldn't have gone to this specific dr, especially since they are an hour away, but it was the only one in the vicinity that took our insurance. Wasn't going to pass that up. I have Ganirelex, Edometrin, Estradiol pills and methylprednisone pills waiting.
How are you doing? What have you been feeling? I was fine till this morning (took 2nd round of shots last night). Woke up feeling pretty sick to my stomach and starting to get a headache. Though that could be the doxycyline (spelling) they have my husband and I on. Also, had to learn last night how to give myself the shots. Was nice having the hubby, who is a firefighter paramedic, home to do them the last two days, but today he's on shift. Have to do this completely alone tonight. Did really well last night with only supervision from him, but woke up with a nasty bruise on my stomach where I did the shots. Clearly he's better at this, but I'm still beaming with pride that I was able to do it myself. How have you been handling the shots? Doing them alone?
pear / 1881 posts
@waiting4you: Welcome and we will do what we can to support you through this process! and YAY for insurance coverage! I've found that to be a rarity, so that is completely wonderful So they didn't give you a day by day breakdown of everything you need to take up past the egg retrieval or transfer? That's odd. Mine gave me whole booklet and has all the days on there and what I'll be taking each day. I'd call them and clarify so that you are not guessing (and perhaps guessing incorrectly).
@Amorini: oh no - ordering more meds! I cannot remember who responded about how much I should order, but you've convinced me to just order what they suggested. I'm curious - why do they have you taking a little bit of ovidrel? and whoa - that's a lot of follistim!!
@GreenThumb: Glad to hear that everything is moving along and that those tests didn't hurt! Are you doing a fresh or frozen cycle coming up? It's so hard to keep track of everyone!
@agold: Such a wonderful update about your transfer! Two beautiful boys sound absolutely perfect! Are you on bed rest just for the day or will you be on bedrest again today? It seems like every RE has different protocol.
I'm just hanging out and waiting to see what happens with my current non-medicated cycle. Of course, I'm trying to remain hopeful for a miracle cycle, but only time will tell. I have been extremely tired, like falling asleep in the car and snoring on the way home from the cabin tired! lol. I've never done that.. But, my husband is quick to remind me that I'm always super tired this part of my cycle. I did fill my birth control so that I'm ready to rock and roll once AF shows. I do need to call Winfertility as I haven't heard a word from them and my nurse should have faxed my prescriptions last week. I want to get all my med prices figured out so that I know where to order if and when the time comes.
kiwi / 538 posts
@waiting4you: Your protocol sounds pretty similar to mine. The schedule I originally got was only for 3 days then I went in for my first blood test and US. That afternoon they called me to tell me my doses for that night and let me know when to come in next for monitoring. That's how it was for my whole round of stims. The amounts fluctuated from day to day based on my results. I started Ganirelex on Day 7- that was a morning shot. The Endometrin I started the day after my retrieval because I'm doing a FET. Are you doing a fresh or a frozen transfer? I would guess if you are doing fresh they might start you on that sooner?
I did all the shots myself except the trigger. It's really not too bad once you get used to it! The Gonal was pretty easy- the Menopur kind of burned but I always iced beforehand. I honestly didn't have too many reactions to the meds- the hormones made me really bitchy but that was worse on other people than me haha :). I was just really uncomfortable towards the end because I had so many follicles (45). My retrieval was Fri and we are doing PGD so we're waiting to hear results back on how many embryos made it blast stage then how many look good after the testing. We already have a 3 1/2 year-old son so we're only going to transfer 1 so we really only need 1 good one but I'd obviously like to have some backups :).

@waiting4you: That is so great you have such great infertility coverage! I would have gone to any doctor that my insurance covered also. Did your RE give you a first responders discount? And don't worry about the bruises on your stomach - I think they just sometime come. Doesn't matter who does them. I gave myself all my own stomach shots too. You can do it!
As for schedules, I had one that took me vaguely up to egg retrieval, but as you get closer to that time, dosages and what not can get changed up. I had a whole other schedule given to me around the time I did the trigger that will carry me through the blood test.
@dookie32: my blood test is October 2. Seems so far away! I'm pretty positive I won't test at home before then.
@NorthStar: so true that re's have such different rules for bed rest vs no bed rest at all. My re said 3 days full bed rest and two days of very light activity. So I'm home today and tomorrow and am taking it very seriously. I'm also going to stay home Thursday to avoid a shit storm of stress at work. I'll go back Friday. I mostly sit at a desk so no big deal really. As for infertility, if you call, ask for Angel if you want. She truly was an angel to me even though I didn't end up using them. But you don't need to worry about it until you start birth control. Where are you at with your current cycle?
AFM - my re called today and I only had two of the remaining five make it freeze. Two. I cried. On the phone. To the doctor.
Can I blame progesterone shots?? I'm grateful for what I have and am praying that the two in me and the two frozen are all I will need. I've struggled with the thought of discarding embryos so I suppose it's good I don't have a plethora in waiting. But still... Two. Ugh. IF sucks.

New here! have lots of reading to do to catch up! We are both 36, we have a 3 yo and were diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility following 3 miscarriages. We did an egg retrieval with PGS last month and we have a FET scheduled for the end of October, so will be starting meds pretty soon (anyone have tips for the suppository meds--by the end I'll have 6/day it looks like!). Anyone else do FET? Any tips on prepping? I have no idea how I'm gong to do the 48 hr bed rest following the procedure with an active kiddo and minimal help (hubby only has the day of transfer off as of now). We may only have one shot at this, so hoping for the best!

@endymion4: Hi! Welcome to the group. I hope you find it helpful here. I'm so sorry you are dealing with secondary IF. Its awful all the same no matter what point a girl deals with it. I know there are some girls on here that use/used the progesterone suppositories so I'm sure they will pipe in. I don't know how you will do bed rest with a child either! Can you send your child to a friend's house until your husband gets home?

@agold: thanks for the welcome! we are still fairly new to the area and unfortunately don't have anyone to send her to (and she has major stranger anxiety since she's just always been home with me), but I am stocking up on any cool little toys/activities I can find over the next few weeks so we can stay as low key as possible! Hubby is trying to rearrange some things at work to be home for the first day or two after, so hoping that works out!
