@Yellowbeach, @Sweetiepie, @Mrs. Pajamas: Thank you! We are cautiously optimistic. Beta today. Praying the numbers doubled from Monday.

@yellowbeach: It's definitely smart to go into trying for baby #2 with a realistic idea that getting a BFP and sticky baby on the first transfer was blind luck. I think we were a bit overly optimistic and it took 2 BFNs before we broke down and had our frozen embryos tested. That was SO worth the money. If I had to do it over again, and what I tell anyone in the same boat is to do that from the beginning. Especially if you are paying out of pocket for the FETs, it will save you SO much time and most importantly, heartbreak and stress. We had insurance so we were stupid and thought it wasn't worth the money. But the emotional and time toll was rough for us. We thankfully had great luck with FET #3 but still....think about it and most of all enjoy your sweet Evie! Are you back at work?

@sweetiepie on Monday my beta was 425. And today's beta 917. I get my first ultrasound on Thursday next week.

@Honeydew: yay so glad! That's similar to my betas with my son (I think).
Also a helpful tip - if you put a colon after @username like I did with yours above, an email notification goes to that user. I haven't been getting them from you and I think that's why
You can also just hit "reply" in someone's post.

Popping to say I had my first FET...and a BFP. First beta on 11dp5dt was 236, second was 522....last one tomorrow. Hoping so much things keep moving the right direction but after the early loss I'm anxious. Have managed to throw DH off the scent (he's not very observant) and he thinks my first test is tomorrow!

I'm a little freaked out. Just had some spotting, my ultrasound is on Thursday. Please tell me that this is normal at 5 weeks....

@skiierchck99: congrats!!!
@Honeydew: Was it brown or red? And did you have sex recently? Progesterone suppositories?
Brown is usually not much to worry about, pretty normal but it's always fine to call your doc for peace of mind. Red I would definite call right away.
And sex and progesterone suppositories are both normal causes of spotting as they can agitate your already more sensitive cervix.

@sweetiepie: Red unfortunately but watered down red. TMI. sorry. No sex, but I am on progesterone suppositories. I sent an urgent email to my RE. Hopefully its just irritation from the suppository.
honeydew / 7463 posts
@Honeydew: I should rephrase - red I would always call right away but it doesn't necessarily mean 100% bad things. It's just more cause for concern than brown is.
I'm sorry you're dealing with this stress and I hope you get an answer from your RE soon!

AFM, I have been taking my estradiol since Friday and just getting anxious for June 28! Seems so far away but I know it'll be here before I know it.
We have a beach house from June 29-July 29 with almost constant visitors so I'm plotting how to keep people in the dark IF I'm pregnant since I'm known to have a glass of wine or two. Honestly, I think I'll just have a small glass of wine each night that we have people around. I'm just not that worried about it if I'm not getting trashed. It'll help me relax vs stressing about pretending to drink or lying about why I'm not. That's for damn sure. Saving myself stress has to count for something. Lol.

@SweetiePie: absolutely get your wine on at the beach house...wish I could join you! So excited for your fet!
@Honeydew: Oh No! So sorry this is stressing you out. Let us know what the re says. Hopefully it's nothing.

@Honeydew: hope you were able to get through to your doctor! there are so many reasons for spotting around then that are minor--the suppositories, a small sch, etc. I had a small sch around 6 weeks, and it resolved itself a couple weeks later.

I did get a hold of the doctor. They said it was common and if I filled more than a pad then it was serious. The spotting did stop. I have an ultrasound tomorrow.

@Honeydew: i had quite a bit of bleeding around the same time and then spotting throughout my first trimester. I think I recalbthat spotting is common with ivf pregnancies. I never stopped worrying, but everything was fine. Good luck to you.

All on track. Lining check looked good today at 8.5mm. Friday I start all the progesterone fun and I'm officially scheduled for next Weds 6/28.

@SweetiePie: great news! How are you feeling???? Are you doing suppositories or pio shots?
honeydew / 7463 posts
@Mrs. Pajamas: suppositories and oral pills. I requested to skip the pio this time. I had some nerve damage from it last time (nothing serious, but unpleasant)

I'm quite surprised my RE is advising me after Thursday to pop over to my regular OB. I'm scheduled to do my OB checkout scan.

Lining check was great today. 11.5mm.
Prog and estrogen are perfect.
Scheduled for 2:40pm EST tomorrow!
Progesterone hitting me hard this time around! Dizziness and hot flashes like crazy. I ended up taking 2 showers today because I was so sweaty and gross - and it never even got out of the 70s! It was a perfect day.
On our way to a really nice sushi dinner. We had it before our last transfer 3.5 years ago so we are keeping the tradition

@SweetiePie: thinking of you and praying for a sticky baby. How do you feel? When is your first beta?
We brought a beautiful baby girl home yesterday (she was born on tuesday, 6/27) and are so so happy. Big sister (also an ivf baby) is totally obsessed. Thinking of you all and so grateful for this boards support in bringing home dd2.

Hey IVF friends - anyone miss (on purpose or accident) their progesterone check 2 days post transfer?
Long story short, I did. Yesterday not my fault (Quest closed unexpectedly) and today my fault (I got appt time wrong).
I'm not overly worried but afraid my REs office will hate me and that maybe it is more important than I think it is. FWIW progesterone has never ever been an issue for me and it was nice and high (26) the day before transfer and I'm keeping up with my oral and suppository progesterone like clockwork.

Hello lovely ladies. I wanted to update that I got my BFP 2 days ago at 4dp5dt. It's steadily getting darker. Friday is my first beta.
Happy 4th of July! xoxo
