@yellowbeach: You got me too curious , so I scrolled through the Sept and Aug POAS, and CONGRATS @MrstypeA!! I hope this is a sticky one for you! (Sorry I'm so late, this is my busiest time of year and I've barely been on HB).

@yellowbeach: Yes! I know you're super-ready to get this show on the road. So, do you ovulate and then transfer? I suppose that makes the most sense, but I'd never thought about it before. I hope your DH is able to be there.

Jut had an US to see if we are going to trigger and transfer on Saturday. My largest follicle was 17mm and they wanted to see 18, so the NP who did the US (Labor Day afterall) is going to talk to my RE and see what they want to do. Trigger shot in hand though! Just a question of Sat vs Sun I think.

@foodiebee: hi!! So sorry I missed this! I was trying to avoid all thoughts of the transfer. I tested last week and it was positive and when I tested the next day it didn’t seem any darker and I went into a downward spiral and was so anxious so I needed to take a break from testing and overthinking haha. I get my blood work done tomorrow So fingers crossed it’s still good news!! I feel pretty terrible at times So I’m hopeful still!!

@yellowbeach: that’s exciting- hopefully you’ll hear from them early tomorrow!

@MrstypeA: Actually I ended up hearing from them this afternoon, but I was at work and too busy to HB. I just took my trigger shot (5000u HcG) and we are scheduled for a FET on Sunday morning. I'm elated - Sat was pretty inconvenient but we were willing to do it that day. Sunday morning is perfect timing and means much less stress. Eeek

@MrstypeA: For my last transfer I did the math and calculated the elimnation time for 5000u to leave my system. Can't seem to find that number anywhere, but if anyone knows off hand, it's Novarel 5000u IM.

@yellowbeach: from what I've read I think it's supposed to be a day for every 1000 units for it to test out... But that is only from lots of googling and no personal experience

Has anyone ever manually transported their embryos from one facility to another themselves? Since we did our retrieval in 2016, our RE now has his own IVF center where they now do all the procedures and now store embryos. Ours have been at the other place because we didn't have a reason to move them yet. For our FET on Sunday, we need to do it at the new place because my insurance covers 100% of IVF if it's in-network, and the old place is out of network.
They said the process is pretty easy - the new place provides us with a cooler to take to the old place and pick up the embryos. They load them up and then we just bring everything back to the new place. The 2 centers are less than a mile from one another, yet somehow I'm really nervous I'm going to mess this up. Of course both centers make you sign away any liability of loss during transport.
Has anyone done this or transferred their embryos at all?

@yellowbeach: But I seriously get being concerned, because I was worried I would mess up dropping off my husband's semen analysis, let alone embryos.

@yellowbeach: I would be worried too! Mostly because I worry about everything!!

My nurse called with my beta and it’s 3,657 at 4.5 weeks pregnant. Guys, what if it’s another set of twins?! but in all seriousness I would be more shocked if it wasn’t twins. I’m dying to know!!
cherry / 126 posts
@yellowbeach: I think it will be end of next week. We’ll see! I already have a set of twins so I’m sooo curious!

@yellowbeach: we transferred some sperm between clinics, probably a similar procedure. They wouldn't let us do it. It had to go by courier.

2nd beta came back and just about doubled- 6522. They’re going to get me in for an ultrasound on Monday! It’s early but with my ectopic history and how high my numbers are they said Monday was fine!

@MrstypeA: So are you ready for 2 sets of twins? I'm nervous/excited for you. ahhh
cherry / 126 posts
@Sams Mom: haha man oh man. My head is SPINNING that’s for sure. Monday can’t come soon enough, I just hope they can for sure say 1 or 2! They didn’t tell me it was twins until my 2nd ultrasound last time!

@MrstypeA: That would make my head spin too!!! yea, you find a groove with whatever happens, but man o man.
my OB has a singleton and two sets of twins, and I always give him a hard time that he has half a dozen kids. He says no its 5 not 6. Then I ask him how long it would take him to notice someone added a kid to the crowd? He usually doesn't argue with me anymore
I'm hoping you get a clear definitive answer Monday!

Success! I transported my 9 embabies from our old facility to our new one without any issues. They opened up the container to let me verify my name and see that the containers were actually there. So cool and so SciFi!

@yellowbeach: Are you basically counting down the hours to your transfer this weekend?
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: O, just picturing myself in your situtation
I'd have a countdown on my phone, and probably attached to the lock screen so I wouldn't even have to unlock my phone to look

@yellowbeach: that’s great! Remind me, when is the transfer scheduled for? What’s your post transfer plan/superstitions?!
nectarine / 2648 posts
@MrstypeA: Transfer is Sunday 11am. I’m not sure I have any since this is only transfer #2. We have to drive two hours east to my parents house to drop DD off and then fly to Denver at 8am Monday morning. I’m going to a cushy conference in Beaver Creek. Hopefully that will keep me busy those first days of the 2WW.
cherry / 126 posts
@yellowbeach: that sounds like a great distraction for the first few days. Will you wait the entire 2 weeks or will you test early?
nectarine / 2648 posts
@MrstypeA: On the Sept POAS board I've tentatively committed to testing 9/15 (early).
nectarine / 2648 posts
Well it's official - our PGS normal embabie is in! Now for the "2WW" which is actually just going to be a 9 day wait until by bHcG next Tuesday, and a 6 day wait until I POAS on Saturday. Send me your baby dust!!!
