@auggiefrog: thanks. I was pretty upset on Thursday, but now I'm just impatient for AF to start so we can try the next level of clomid.

@auggiefrog: I also hate when people brag about how easy it was to get pregnant. And I agree - I'm going to brag about how damn hard I worked to get pregnant (once I actually am)!
@crystal: Sorry to hear about AF - hugs.

Feeling a little better already after having the first visit with my GP. He's set us up with all the preliminaries that the fertility clinic would ask for up front so that we can get the ball rolling faster. He's supposed to have sent the referral (hopefully he did) and so he said we should get an appt sooner rather then later once test results come trickling in. He also emphasized BDing every day during the fertile window ("quantity, not quality") - a good 7-10 days in a row, apparently. That kind of stressed DH out a bit as he says the pressure would get to him to perform, but he says he'll try his best lol. He also whined that he had to do a blood test as he's not the biggest fan of needles.. I told him to put his big girl panties on as I have 3(!!!) requisitions for blood work (tiny, disappearing veins too), need a pap done AND an ultrasound... "all you need to do is give blood once and jerk off into a cup." He didn't bring it up again

@HellOnHeels: men truly don't get all that we go through for this sometimes. Sounds like your GP is being proactive, yay!

Cycle Day: 4 (still waiting for the witch to leave)
TTC Cycle #: 8
POAS date: June 22 (too bad I won't find out until after Father's Day)

AF started. Relieved to be moving on to a higher dosage. Next POAS date is June 21. Father's Day is either going to be awesome, or its gonna suck.

@MrsKRB: Thanks for sharing about the P4. We are moving toward IVF so we will know about my egg quality soon enough...
@crystal: Sorry about AF but good luck with the higher dosage! Will they test your 6/7 dpo P4 again to see if it responded to the higher dosage? I've just started to investigate what progesterone levels mean, but from what I've read 11 on a medicated cycle could be low-ish. However, the ranges are really wide from what I see. For instance, the scale on the lab results I got back say normal 1st trimester levels are 8.8 - 48.6. What did your doctor say?
BTW, with DH's issues, we can't DTD every day, let alone twice a day. On average, he can fully DTD once every five days.... That's why we only hit the fertile window once and usually timed to when I get a positive OPK. It's maddening, to say the least. I am hoping they find low T is the reason so there can be some explanation and fertility-friendly T treatment (usually Clomid, I'm told) for the low libido, let alone low SA results.

@Amorini: That has got to be so hard. Is his problem performance (he can just has problems inside of you), or can he only 'get in the mood' once every five-ish days?
persimmon / 1132 posts
@auggiefrog: thanks for the support!! It's hard for me put my finger on really because it's happening to his body, not mine. Understandably (well, at least knowing him), I can only get a certain amount of information out of him. Fortunately, now that we are getting the medical specialists involved, he talks more. He says that he is in the mood all the time, just can't "finish." I think it must be a combo of factors, including psychological "stage fright" at this point. It must be so frustrating for him. (He's wanted the baby thing way longer than me.) It has even made me doubt myself and "us," but we have good communication about that now. He has been able to easily produce a sample for the two SAs. I have heard it's easier for guys with his issues when they only have to focus on themselves. Anyway, more will be revealed...
Comparing it to my past partners, however, he seems less desirous of sex in general and he's had some ED issues, so things have always seemed a little off in the bedroom. When just NTNP-ing, we have made it work and there wasn't pressure to "finish." However, once we started TI, these things tipped me off that we should get to the RE and, sure enough, MFI!

@Amorini: I know a girl from a different board site that I belong to that had a similar problem as you. They were able to conceive using a method called Home Insemination. I don't know to much about it other than you can get kits probably through Amazon or at a drug store and I assume your DH would provide a sample that would be later put inside of you. I think she did this for two or three cycles before she got KU. Anyways, if you are interested it would be something to look into.

@LoveHope: @auggiefrog: thank you. ️
@ms.line: thanks for updating my POAS date!
@Amorini: yep, he's sending me for another P lab at 7 DPO. He said he likes to see it higher, but won't give me any P to do that with! I'm pretty frustrated about it.
I'm so sorry to hear about your challenges! I thought you were saying that your plan was to do it twice a day, not twice during the fertile window, my mistake. when should you get the results back? I'm really hoping it's an easy fix for you to get your BFP.

@Crystal: good luck this month!
@colee: I've googled so much about luteal phase as well. Mine is short, often under 10 days and I have managed to get pregnant with it. It's such a worry though. I started BComplex this month after last month's crappy 8 day LP.
@HellOnHeels: Sounds like you had a good first visit with GP. If our doc ever told us to BD 7-10 days straight we would both laugh. Not happening.
My body is being super weird and I don't know what is going on. I'm on CD11 and my temps have not gone below cover line. I'm not sure if the B vitamins are screwing with my temps but I don't think I will O again until my temps go back down.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@delight: thank you! Did you decide to take the B complex on your own, or did the dr recommend it? Does it raise P, or extend your LP another way? Just trying to find out more info!
Are your temps just higher than normal right now? How strange! When do you normally O?

@Crystal: sending hugs!
6DPO here. I've had a few distractions. My iPhone crashed and I had to restore- long story made short, I upgraded to a 6, and DH is going to try to get my info back on it. I hope I didn't lose much. We've had a lot going on so I haven't been too focused on IF. I might have some really stressful stuff coming up, so please keep me in your prayers.
pear / 1770 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Ugh, that's super annoying. Nice you got to upgrade to a 6, though. Keeping you in my thoughts!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@Crystal: I did some Google research and decided to try BComplex. I did this two years ago and conceived DD on the second month. I'm trying it again now. I take a B100 complex. My doctor never recommended anything and I never really discussed my short LP with my doctor.
And yes, my temps are about 0.5 degrees higher than normal during the first part of my cycle. It's throwing me for a loop! I normally O anywhere from CD15-CD20 so I'm hoping they go down really soon so I have a chance to O this month.
pear / 1770 posts
@delight: I have a short LP, too, and it is worrisome, but my RE swears it's not a problem. I took B6 for three months but it didn't impact my LP - couldn't hurt to take a B complex though!

I've been totally MIA! Work has been crazy and DH and I are trying to spend our evenings electronics free so I basically have no time to post.
I'm resisting the urge to test. I think AF is due tomorrow but I'm not totally sure. My goal is to make it to Saturday without testing. I'm so sick of wasting $$$ on negative tests!!!!

Hope you ladies had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I had an LH surge so lots of BDing this weekend
I had a friend over for a bbq and she's due in 4 weeks. All she did was complain about being pregnant and I couldn't take it. I was really emotional that day. I totally get that being pregnant isn't the most comfortable but I would do anything to be in her shoes. I told her that she was going to have a baby and that should be worth all the crap she is dealing with. She still didn't get it. Some of us would give anything to be pregnant,
I'll be in ARUBA during my TWW. Hope AF won't show up while on vacation.
kiwi / 739 posts
@sslm: I'm so not good at waiting, hold out for a day at least! Good luck!
@lovehope Aruba sounds like a great place to spend the tww. Hopefully this was your cycle!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@ms.line: yes I'm not sure how much an LP does come into play. Lots of doctors say it doesn't matter. I had a mc when my LP was 9 days but I had come off the pill just before so I'm not sure the real cause. Then I took B100 complex and extended my LP to 11 days and got pregnant with my dd. Then I got pregnant when I wasn't charting and was breastfeeding so I'm not entirely sure my LP at the time. Since we lost her at 22 weeks I feel like I'm kinda grasping at straws and doing anything to get pregnant again! Plus a few extra vitamins can't hurt right?
pear / 1770 posts
@LoveHope: Ack! There's a woman in my office who is due next week, and all she's doing is bitching and moaning about how she's "over it" and mad she hasn't gone early. Another one of my coworkers who is out on maternity leave texted me to lament how annoying it is to have to feed her baby on a schedule that allows her to get errands done. And I'm just like
Hope you have a blast in Aruba!

@ms.line: they complain because they've never struggled with infertility.
Thanks so much! It will be a good distraction for DH and I.
nectarine / 2465 posts
@LoveHope: I'm very vocal about our struggles, so thankfully I don't come across people like that. That being said, I'm sure I'm going to be cranky at the end of my pregnancy (if it happens) lol.
pear / 1770 posts
@MrsKRB: I'm also pretty vocal about our IF, which is why it really grates on my nerves when people still complain to me! But agreed, I'm sure I would/will be cranky at the end, too!

Hi all! It's been so crazy at work since it's the end of the school year, so I'm joining in a bit late this month!
Cycle Day:
TTC Cycle #: 9
POAS date: June 11
Baby #: 1
What's happening this month: Advanced OPK
Chart link: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/58dcab
So I bought the advanced OPK that shows high fertility and peak fertility for the first time. Now I'm even MORE confused about my cycle. It was blank until day 11 and then it showed peak (totally skipped high). No temp spike yet - it usually happens around day 14-16. If you have used these before, I could use some insight!
clementine / 849 posts
@mrskrb: How are you feeling this time around? Had any ultrasounds yet? I'm on CD12, on Clomid. My last cycle I was on letrozole and had a very active right ovary with lots of good cramping and multiple big follicles leading up to my trigger... this time it's just hot flashes, crappy moods and weird dreams. Blah. I am still waiting for the nurse to call, but I had the same ultrasound tech as last time and she tells me what's happening while on the table... she said "2 big follicles" which is 2 less than last time, but still hoping for the best.
Hope you're feeling great and optimistic!
nectarine / 2465 posts
@YogiRunner: I was just thinking about you! CD 11 today, and I have a 21mm follicle so I trigger tonight, iui either tomorrow or Saturday depending on bloodwork. I am happy with only 1 follicle since twins would be very bad! I am definitely feeling a lot better than last cycle, so hopefully 2 is the charm! Just remember that last cycle didn't work so whatever changes happen this cycle could be a good thing! Your follicles are quality over quantity

Update on my pelvic ultrasound: the medical assistant called me and said I have a small cyst in my left ovary. I asked her if it could be affecting ttc. She needs to check with the dr and will call me back. Anyone ever have an ovarian cyst?
