D's last day at daycare before we move is June 13. While I have definitely had some issues with this daycare, and have considered switching him (and probably would be switching if we were staying in the area), there is no denying that they really love him and he has been happy there. I feel like we should get them something as a thank you. We do not know his actual teacher, just the 2 girls who are doing drop-offs and pick-ups, so I don't really know that we should get individual gifts, but rather something that the whole staff can enjoy. Thoughts or suggestions?

R's last day is the 30th at her center. So I was wondering the same thing. But we just did a small gift every day, and a nice gift card for Teacher Appreciation week last week. So I think that we are going to have R make a card but that is all. Maybe bake something.
I think food is always a good idea!

M's last day is actually June 12th, the day after her birthday. If they will let me, I am going to bring in rice krispy treats for her birthday celebration and make sure I bring in enough for at least the infant room teachers, the kids in the 1's room and the 1's room teachers.

I have the summers off- so Lil B with bee home with me (mostly) I got his nanny and embroider picnic blanket with her last name on it because she and her kids love to have picnics! We are giving it to her next week!

I did a small gift card for her teachers and a big cookie tray for all the teachers of the school.

I would do gift cards to Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or a nice restaurant. I love our daycare and the teachers, so something nice would be in order for them.

@cascademom: I wouldn't even know how many gift cards to buy. I know that there are usually 2 teachers in his room, but I don't know the one (the main teacher) and I think sometimes it's another person that I don't know, and other times it's one of the girls who also does drop-off/pick-up.

DD had a handful of teachers nd people who knew her so we got a big edible arrangement basket and munchkins for the whole place on her last day. Her main teachers got cards.

@littlebug: I would ask. I know there's three in our daycare. I've met one of them once or twice since she's mainly there during the day, but not in the mornings or afternoons. I just ask since there was a change in staff for us where LO's favorite one left and stayed in Mexico. Even I miss her a bit because she reigned me in a nice way about milk in the morning and loved LO a lot.
