I was in a rush this morning and forgot to bring my pump to work! I live about 50 miles away so getting it isn't an option. I went to a few CVS drugstores nearby but they don't stock manual pumps!
Arrghh! So annoyed.. I have toilet paper stuffed in my bra as makeshift nursing pads! ;-p

Oh no!! My mom said she used to hand express during the day because she didn't know pumps existed.

I did that but I only live about 30 minutes from home so I just went home. I would definitely agree, hand express.

Turns out my coworker's wife has the same pump so he brought it to work for me! Luckily, she no longer pumps, the Ameda pump is a closed system(less chance of contamination) and I brought all own accessories(flange, valves, bottles, etc)with me at work...
Whew just pumped 12 ounces. Best feeling ever!

At work last week, I thought I forgot bottles so I pumped into a paper cup. The whole time I was thinking, "I can't believe I have to dump all this milk out!" And then I was imagining running into a coworker on my way to the sink with a cup full of breastmilk. But as soon as I finished, I realized the bottles were a foot away from me, partially obscured by my pump. Clearly, "pregnancy brain" doesn't stop after the baby is born.

Oh! Wow... glad your co-worker was able to help out! That is great. And I've heard that the Ameda pump is the closed system, which is good.
