Before I got a job, we checked at the daycare and they had a 1month plus wait. Well I finally got the job and we returned the paperwork today. Turns out they opened a new classroom and he can start Monday! Crazy! I don't have to work until March 10th, but we're going to the Caribbean for a week before that without him so I figured it was better to start him right away!
Any tips to make it an easy transition?

At my daycare, they told us that sneaking out is discouraged. You should wave byebye and tell them you'll be back for them later with a big smile on your face.
We had a pretty easy transition with my LO. She occasionally cries when I leave but the daycare teacher is really good about picking her up and giving her a hug and helping her wave bye to me. I've hidden around the corner to see when she stops crying and its usually within 30 seconds. That makes me feel so much better to know that she's not upset for very long!

@sunny: Yeah I've never believed in "sneaking out". We've babysat for a friends child, and she sneaks out and it never goes well. Glad it wasn't too difficult for you.
