Do you let your LO eat lunchables? I know they are far from healthy, but I remember eating them as a kid and it was always a special treat to have one. So I bought a few for the girls on sale this week, and they love them. If your LO eats them, which ones do they like?

I get about 1-2 per weekly grocery trip for a quick easy grab. I only get the turkey/cracker or ham cracker ones.

yep - DD loves them and they are so convenient when time is short - I also pack a fruit and yogurt and I think its a perfectly fine lunch!
She likes the bologna ones - oh and we get the small ones

I grabbed one for DS awhile back, but he only wanted the cheese from it so I ate the crackers and ham.

Sure, they are fun, delicious, and good in a pinch despite being terribly unhealthy, ha. I don't make it a habit, but my LO likes the pizza ones, so I'll sometimes grab a couple when they're on sale.

Yes, we do the turkey and cheese ones when we are in a hurry or are out somewhere. Not the healthiest, but with an applesauce or yogurt and some fruit it's okay.

We used one as a special treat on a recent flight. Otherwise LO does really like cheese and crackers but I usually buy healthier varieties.

We eat about 2 a week. I buy the small ones that are crackers, cheese, and meat. Then I give yogurt and fruit with it. They honestly are a huge life saver during the school months.

Nah; the meat is like rubbery and a weird texture which personally just sketches me out. I have in the past in a pinch but I just can't get past that meat lol I just buy cheese and meat at the deli counter and have them slice it very thick. If it’s a super special treat I’ll cut the meat and cheese into shapes with cookie cutter and then make myself a sandwich with the “scraps”.
For on-the-go snacks I like single-serving thingies of almond butter or peanut butter.

No, but I loved them as a kid. I was always jealous of those who had a packed lunchable. My kids have food allergies so it's a no go for them.

No. You can't buy them here. I would most likely not buy them if I had access.

LO had a phase in her 4s where we would get it for her on special occasions and fieldtrips and soccer team snacks. She outgrew them. As a teacher, I know they were most coveted on fieldtrips in recent years. They must put pixie dust on the packaging because kids love them but they taste horrible to me.

No - I tried them once as a kid and thought they were pretty bad so don't feel the need to let M try them. Special treat lunches for her are a slice of pizza or burger from somewhere like

I don't, but mostly because I've never eaten one myself so I don't think they even know what they are? I'm super-picky about deli meat, and growing up my parents were both relatively healthy and pretty cheap, so we never had things like lunchables, capri suns/squeeze-its, etc. Strangely we did have lots of Dunkaroos
DD1 totally spotted some Mootown snackers at the grocery yesterday, and I let her get a pack. Fake cheese FTW (at least in moderation....)

Yes but usually only if we're at the grocery store at lunch. So we usually just grab the turkey cheese and crackers one.

@KayKay: haha I didn't know they still made those. I cannot believe my mom used to let me eat those and dunkaroos as a kid. Anything if she had a coupon!
We don't (and won't) do lunchables....though I do sometimes pack cubes of healthier cheese, little rolls of healthier options of deli meat, and some kind of cracker/grain item in a bento box for lunch, particularly when we need to do a nut-free option and can't have PBJ. I remember Lunchables being a huge treat when I was a kid - now they kind of gross me out (mainly because of all the preservatives).

I have never gotten them for DD but I bet she would love it. I know they aren't the healthiest, but if I added some veggies and/or fruit I would feel OK about it if we were traveling or something. I do make her homemade lunchables with cracker sandwiches and some healthier sides for when we eat lunch at the park all the time.

Nope, I never had them as a kid so I just never really thought about them as an option. I feel like I can just pull out the same stuff from the kitchen?
