FF confirmed my CD12 OV this morning, my POAS date is 08.05.
I don't feel like it's our month, even my doctor said waiting and trying by ourselves probably won't work after such a long time. We have our next steps and appointments in line and I was on the verge of skipping this cycle altogether, it would have been nice to skip temping, but in the end it felt weird not to try. If it works though, it will be a one hit wonder, we didn't put a lot of effort in.
On a different matter, a weird sequence of different...things took place and now I have a bed for the baby we don't have (yet). It's in a rough shape and needs a lot of work, but hey, we're not in any hurry. So yeah, that happened...

@paranundrum: my cat has a tail now? Also, I bought and had hand-me-downs for a baby I didn't have yet before my son (and I wasn't even trying! ). Maybe it's a sign a baby is close?
clementine / 811 posts
@Sams Mom: I very much hope a baby is close, but we'll see.
Nice tail, hopefully in continues that lovely upward motion tomorrow too and you'll have a surprise in a day or too.

@paranundrum: I'm not cramping at all, but I just had some blood when I wiped

Soooooo I guess I'm accidentally joining the board this month?
Cycle Day: 26
TTC Cycle: 1
Ovulation Date: 22nd according to my app
POAS Date: 5/6
Baby #: 3 (4yo and 1yo DDs)
We aren't actively trying but DH and I goofed on my fertile window dates and I have some typical early symptoms so, um, here I am! We were going to start trying in July so it's not that big of a deal if I get pregnant now, I guess. Ugh, I have some conflicting emotions this time around.
Mother's day is coming! How do you celebrate? Does your family have any traditions?
I'm not a fan of Mother's Day. We don't have any family traditions and my DH just doesn't think about these things. I'm pretty sure he's going to forget about it. Sorry! I don't mean to be a downer...hormones have been wacky the last couple of days.

Alright, here we go...
• Cycle Day: CD 15, DPO 4
• TTC Cycle: 14? 15?
• Ovulation Date: 4/24
• POAS Date: 5/5
• Baby #: 2
Mother's day is coming! How do you celebrate? Does your family have any traditions?
No traditions...last year I got a ring holder necklace I wanted (and asked for). I don’t really have anything this year. More compression socks? Haha

Well crap. I have been trying to mostly avoid the boards because I’m getting so impatient to start our ivf process, but dh and I ended up dtd tonight and he finished inside me (miscommunication about ovulation time) and I have had TONS of ewcm yesterday and today so anything is possible. I haven’t been taking opks, but I will tomorrow to see what’s going on. I’m cd13 today and Oed cd17 last month so I may be ok still on timing since we were supposed to be tta. Guess we will just have to wait it out, but I’m not too worried about it.
Anyway, that’s my long way of saying, looks like I’m joining you all in May lol

• Cycle Day: 1
• TTC Cycle: 28 I think, if you count anovulary cycles
• Ovulation Date: CD 9-20 I guess if we're basing it off the last 12 months 🤷♀️🤦♀️
• POAS Date: TBD
• Baby #: 2
Mother's day is coming! How do you celebrate? Does your family have any traditions? We don't really have traditions, but I'm thrilled that it won't be spent with the in laws like the first couple were.

@helloperidot: Welcome! We're happy to have you whether you were actually trying or not, the more the merrier!
@LAZB: Well that's a twist, but we're happy you're here. Just tell me if and when you want me to add you to the board.
@Sams Mom: I'm sorry you're here (not really, but you know what I mean).

@paranundrum: it really is a twist. I have a friend going through a very similar situation as I am (4 pregnancy losses in the last year, and she also had one a few years ago at 18 weeks, and hers all seem to be genetic). She just lost one at 12 weeks, and was tortured the entire time waiting to find out if something was wrong, and it really made me not want to go through that again, so I can’t believe we are risking it. I basically told my dh that I had fertile cm but didn’t think it was quite time for ovulation yet, which he took to mean I wasn’t fertile, so here we are. I will say in all of these years, I’ve only been able to get pregnant with medication, so I’m not overly concerned, especially since I haven’t had some of my telltale endometriosis pain that I get around ovulation.

@LAZB: Infertility sucks. That just about sums up my thoughts on the matter right now. I can't imagine going through a loss after loss after loss...on the other hand, not seeing even the faintest shadow of a second line on a pregnancy test in six long years is pretty demoralizing too.
I hope you and your friend both get your rainbows really soon.

@Sams Mom: Out of curiosity, how often does your doctor check your TSH (and/or T4)? I know it takes 6-8 weeks for TSH levels to change in a meaningful way, so was just curious about the monitoring schedule, if at all.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: I see my GP x2 a year or go have labs done on orders from my endocrinologist's PA every 8-10 weeks.
So far this year I've had it checked:
Jan 11
Feb 22
April 25
Scheduled:
Mid June

I’m jumping over here from the April board. I’m having a longer than expected cycle, with late ovulation.
• Cycle Day: 34, 11 DPO
• TTC Cycle: 2
• Ovulation Date: 4/18
• POAS Date: I’ve decided to wait until Friday, so 5/3
• Baby #:3
Mother's day is coming! How do you celebrate? Does your family have any traditions?
My daughters and I will go to lunch with my mom. Probably go to a flower nursery and get my mom a hanging flower basket.
And DH will have my daughter pick out a card and present.

@Sams Mom: I was super hopeful for your cat tail. Here’s to another month!
@helloperidot: I also have a 4 and 1 year old!

Still no signs of ovulation and it appears the OPKs I’ve been using are defective. Plus both my kids have Rotavirus. It’s been a fun week.

Hi ladies. Just checking in. CD26 over here. I have no idea if I ovulated since I didn't buy any tests yet and I'm not temping. Last cycle I had VERY obvious ewcm and I have not this cycle. I did take some Claritin last week...could that have messed that up for me? Ugh. I am feeling the slightest bit crampy and slightly sore breasts today...so I don't want to get my hopes up, just makes your mind go crazy! Sorry I'm all over the place over here!

@Mrs.Panda: OMG that sounds like a nightmare. Good luck, purell everything and hydrate well!

@yellowbeach: o and he checks my TSH, T3, & T4 most every time, and free T3 & free T4 once or twice a year

Ok this is my first month with OPKS...bottom was this am, top is right now. That’s positive, right? DH is away until Thursday we BDed Saturday morning...maybe there is a chance?
ETA - the image is flipped the one from tonight is the one that is clearly not dry.

@LAZB: nice to see you here lady.
@Mrs.Panda: wow sorry you're having a rough week. Hope it turns around soon.
@JennyLayneAZ: I don't think the Claritin should be an issue. How long are your cycles usually? With your symptoms it sounds like you're probably post O.
@maybebaby: definitely positive. I'd say you're still in the running. Sorry you're timing isn't optimal with DH being away.
@paranundrum: Could you update me to POAS date of May 9th? Thank you kindly.
clementine / 811 posts
@Mrs.Panda: Oh no, that sounds so bad. I hope your kids feel better soon.
@maybebaby: Blazing positive! Hopefully you still have a chance and if not, let's hope your husband doesn't have to be away during your fertile window next cycle.
@Phillybaby2013: Sure! How are you doing?

@Phillybaby2013: I don't really know, I've been on birth control for basically 18 years lol my last cycle was 35 days, which I think is probably what it's always been. We got pregnant with LO1 on cycle 3 but we were 4 1/2ish months in at that point. I do think you are right, if I'm having the same length cycle, I should've O'd around Thursday last week.

@maybebaby: I would definitely say you're still in if you guys BD on Saturday! 🤞🤞

I’ve been peeing on opks like a mad woman. I haven’t had the butt pain I sometimes get with ovulation, but I have had ovary pain the past two days, so I’m nervous. My opks aren’t positive though, so I guess there are two possibilities, 1. I ovulated today and the opks would have been positive a few days ago when I wasn’t testing yet 2. My body is starting to surge but hasn’t yet.
In the mean time I’ll just keep peeing on ALL THE STICKS
Also, tomorrow is our IVF nurse appointment when we get all the instructions for meds and shots, etc. and my husband has to give his “sample”. So even though I hopefully won’t be pregnant in May, we should be doing our retrieval at the end of the month!

@LAZB: sorry you don’t know what’s going on with your O, but I’m excited for you about your upcoming appointment and retrieval!

I’m symptom spotting over here at 6dpo- I just have an unsettled feeling in my stomach that won’t go away. Any of you ladies have stomach issues after O?
apricot / 422 posts
@Jessiemuller88: yes! I felt pretty nauseous DPO 5. Obviously way too early for pregnancy but maybe post-O symptom.
I am symptom spotting here at DPO 7. There was definitely nausea DPO 5. General bloating these days. Obviously more post-O than actual pregnancy but i can’t stop! Ha

@MsHangry: haha I can’t stop either! I’m so bloated and tired too. Like can barely keep my eyes open tired.

Found out today that I’m pregnant! Pretty shocking! We used fertility treatments to get pregnant with both daughters. Plus, I’m 40 and this was only my second cycle back postpartum/breastfeeding. I wasn’t even sure I was really ovulating! I’m in shock and just beaming.
Sending all the love and pregnancy vibes to you ladies!!
