@septca: nope! On my first round of TTC (10yrs ago) I hated people telling me to "stop trying, and it will happen!" I don't understand how u "stop trying". It's always on my mind.

@MrsMcD: I don't really believe in post-ovulation sex. I've stared at the numbers a million times and I just don't see how it's possible to conceive more than 24 hours after the egg releases. Also... since I ovulated a week late this cycle, we've had practically more sex in the last two weeks than we have since our honeymoon! So not only are we exhausted, but I'm also fresh out of Conceive Plus. Time for a rest.

@septca: I managed quite well the last few months but obsessiveness has come back with a vengeance! Don't think I've ever gone a whhhooole day though, and I have never even tried meditating...
cherry / 166 posts
@Snowdrop: that IS good news about menopause being shorter cycles! I know I was being slightly melodramatic.
cherry / 166 posts
@PawPrints: my O was a week late too. I wondered if it had anything to do with the full moon last Wednesday influencing our cycles? Lots of girls were late last week on the other boards...
pomegranate / 3658 posts
@LIL BEAN: Oh, mine was delayed because my previous cycle was a miscarriage. Interesting that a lot of people are late this month!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@MrsMcD: Why'd you edit - you original answer was so honest. And realistic.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@PawPrints: Oh I agree about post-O sex not being too beneficial. I just have recently been wondering if maybe I'm not 100% sure when I ovulate. So I want to keep BDing in case I'm ovulating later than I think.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@septca: Yikes! You caught my edit! I felt it was too... umm... revealing of my morning routine. Hahaha.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@PawPrints: and @MrsMcD: 100% agree. It's interesting, last time we TTC, I was really concerned about hitting O and O+1. This time, I don't care about anything post O-1, especially if we've had good timing up until then. I think it's much better to have good-quality (so, EOD) swimmers waiting (so O-1 and before) than to hit O. It's true that the egg can live for up to 24 hours, but the quality starts really deteriorating after 12 hours. So these days I am all about a flush (at about O-6 or O-5) then making sure to get O-3 and O-1.

@MrsMcD: hehe I caught your unedited version... I thought there was a different version for what septca said but I just looked back. I thought what you originally said was pretty tamed!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@MrsMcD: Because I have no life? No, in all seriousness, my job has been *bonkers* lately so I am not doing much today. Too brain-fried. Besides, *someone* needs to keep this board rolling.
cherry / 166 posts
@septca: you are awesome at keeping it rolling!
I've got a cold, so took a sick day. Loving the time to keep up with u girls and actually be part of the conversation, rather than just reading it later...
Does it bug anyone else that the next month's board starts mid-month?! Sucks for those of us POASing at the END of the month. Again- love this group!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@septca: Oh my gosh... I hear you on being brain fried. I'm so busy at work. I'm leaving for court in about 2 minutes. But I just want to sit on here and chat with you girls!
@Raindrop: Thanks for thinking it was tamed. And thanks for not flaming me for editing my comments. Sometimes I just think I say too much.
@LIL BEAN: I don't like when the next months POAS starts mid-month. (I hope you share the same sentiment. If not, sorry!) I think its great to support everyone, including those girls who POAS on the last month.
cherry / 166 posts
@MrsMcD: dammit! I missed your unedited comment. Too busy reading @raindrop's TWW symptoms on the other board. (Ask me alllll about her diarrhea! Heehee.) Just kidding- my fave comments are the candid ones. I say there's no such thing as TMI!
clementine / 933 posts
@MrsMcD: Clomid has been treating me pretty well - a little emotional, but it's also getting hard to tell what is "normal" for me anymore We're using TI this time, and if I O tomorrow (following today's positive OPK), we'll hit (or plan to) O-3, O-1, and O+1. My OB strongly advises against BDing more than EOD, even if DH's SA is normal. So that's our plan
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@LIL BEAN: I don't like them moving on mid month too... because the early POASers got support from the late POASers and now it's normally the late POASers just supporting each other. Not Fair! But I guess also I understand the need to move on and try to start fresh after being disappointed.
@MrsMcD: One of my biggest fears is saying too much! Though from this group I don't think it's possible to say too much. I was a little weary of talking about my bathroom issues a few pages back but I thought it was interesting. haha.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@LIL BEAN: LOL seriously didn't want to talk about diarrhea but it had to be said i thought! Haha. And I was like.. okay I can't be the only I'm just going to put it out there.
clementine / 933 posts
@septca: Oh, your post about timing makes me really excited about our timing this month!
And I've not ever really tried to turn my brain off all together about it, and I don't think I've gone a whole day without thinking about TTC since well before we pulled the goalie....

Super busy, but I've been reading. Congats on the BFPs ladies!
I had straight up EWCM like omg it actually stretches for the first time yesterday. But, I had to get my hair done after work so didn't get home until 10:30pm and dh was ssleep. I haven't had a positive opk yet but I'll be darned if I don't get one today or tomorrow. This should be o-2 and we will get it in tonight! Skipping yoga to have sex

@HeartAbandoned: @dc yoga bee: Both of you have really good BDing timing. FX!
@dc yoga bee: We missed you!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Raindrop: I missed y'all! You're our conceive plus success,story! I hate that stuff.
Oh, and I forget ttc when I'm at work not talking to y'all. Like when I'm getting told off by my admin for asking her to file a motion for me.

@LIL BEAN: yes! I'm so glad our POAS thread doesn't start half way through the month, I'm sure the other one is getting earlier and earlier....a bit like magazines...
clementine / 933 posts
@Snowdrop: @LIL BEAN: I also like that we don't start the new thread until the last week of the month. And that those of us that are early-in-the-month POASers are welcome to talk about waiting to O while others are in the TWW. It's just a supportive group over here! I also wonder if the new threads start so early because the early rollovers want to test out the "Original Poster gets a
" theory... (I'm looking at you, @mrs. tictactoe:
You're not out yet!)
cherry / 166 posts
@HeartAbandoned: 100%! It's official- we have the best group! And lol to "Original poster gets a :bfp:" theory. Maybe I'll start July thread NOW! Lmao.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@HeartAbandoned: Your timing seems perfect! I hope and pray it works for you.
@Snowdrop: I love your magazine analogy.
@HeartAbandoned: I think the early POAS threads get started because the new girls are just so very excited! They also haven't learned yet the important of being supportive in the group.
I want to start the next list too!!

P.S. My secret has outed herself so you guys can stop hounding me!!!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
You guys, I am so lame. I can barely get through 8 DPO. I have a POAS problem (is there a support group for that? Here?). I just wasted my entire commute home convincing myself not to test by telling myself there was an open bottle of wine at home just begging to be finished.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@septca: You know I really wished I waited one more day to POAS but I guess I was just too excited. It's tough!! Also HBers are such enablers.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@MrsMcD: LOL you still want to know! I'm going to guess it's either nerdbee, radish or tidybee since they all announced today.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Raindrop: @septca: This is funny. Are you keeping the IRL friendship a secret? I'm basically friends with two bees IRL. But I'm keeping that a secret, too!
ETA: Although not actually a secret... I've talked about one girl on here before.

It's me!!! I needed @septca to analyze my super faint wondfos since she is such an POAS genius and pro-early POASer whereas I'm usually a 12-13dpo gal...(actually in 15 cycles TTC #1 and #2 combined, I'm usually spotting and out by then so I don't usually POAS)
