Does it run on batteries? Can you pump and walk around? I'm so intrigued!

@autumnlove: Yup it has a rechargable battery. It is quite small and has a nice hook on the back so you can hook it to your pants and walk around if you want to.

@autumnlove: Yes and yes! I didn't walk around much, but it was nice that I could if I wanted to. Also, like @MamaMoose mentioned, the pump is pretty small . . . I was able to fit it into my robe pockets.

@MamaMoose: I already have an Ameda Purely Yours but I want to multitask while I pump...or maybe it isn't realistic?! vacuum and pump? Wash dishes and pump? Take a walk and pump with a nursing cover?

@MsLipGloss: Haha, a more likely scenario is using my Ameda at my kitchen table while I shovel Ruffles into my mouth!
Dang, the Freestyle is pricey but I think I will buy it if my Ameda dies since it is no longer under warranty.

@autumnlove: the only time I ever really double task is when I'm getting ready for the day. I put on my hands free pumping bra and put the pump in my robe pocket and then brush my teeth, do my hair, etc.

@autumnlove: I drive and pump with it. I've also done dishes and made cookie dough. I couldn't put them in the oven because I wasn't comfortable bending down with it on. My Freestyle came with a belt that the pump attaches to. I've even sat and played cards with the in-laws while pumping...not as awkward as you'd imagine.

@autumnlove: I bought mine second hand for less than $150. The tubing and everything can be replaced.

@autumnlove: Yup! It has batteries. And it has a Lithium Ion battery (like a cell phone) that is much stronger than regular AA batteries (like the PISA uses). Another big difference is the pump parts. I love the freestyle parts so much more than the PISA

My Ameda Purely Yours runs can run on batteries. I've used it in bathroom stalls while traveling, while I'm getting ready in the morning, etc. last time I flew it accidentally turned itself on in my carryon luggage. Oops!

@MaisyMay: Thanks! I will keep that in mind if I ever need a new pump!
