Mine came in while I was still at the hospital...LO was cluster feeding for two nights straight before it came in. I knew because of that, and also because I could feel the tingling of letdown, and I hadn't felt that before.

Lo was born on a thursday; on sunday my milk was in. I was HUGELY engorged.

About 2 days after I gave birth. My boobs were like huge rocks...there was no mistaking that engorgement!

I never really knew if it did to be honest. I had no signs of it whatsoever. I never felt engorged (ever), never had "tingling" signs of a letdown, never had obvious milk, etc.

Day 5 after my csection. I had tingling and chills and by boobs got really engorged. I could also see that the milk dd was drinking had switched from colostrum (yellow) to milk (white).

DD - born on Thursday, milk in on Monday (itchy/hot breasts)
DS - born on Sunday, milk didn't come in until the following Monday (I think DS' upper lip tie/posterior tongue tie caused this delay)

Mine came in at around 4.5 to 5 days. I was really stressed about it! I didn't feel super engorged or really get any telltale signs, I just started to realize LO was getting milk.

My milk came in maybe 55-60 hours after I had my LO. I woke up engorged. I didn't feel letdown or anything at first, but LO sounded different when she was eating. I actually thought she was swallowing air but ended up being milk.

Like @ms.janedoe: I really don't know. I was so out of it during recover (blood loss, bad tear) and poor latch (torn up nips) that the beginning of BFing was such a haze. I vaguely remember engorgement, but I don't remember being like "oh, my milk is in."

Gosh I think it was day 5? I had her 11pm on a Monday night and I don't think my milk came in until Friday or Saturday. I woke up with two enormous boulders on my chest - very painful. There was no missing it.

Two days after birth. I could tell my breasts were getting fuller, I could feel the letdown. That evening I was in so much pain I broke out the breast pump for some relief.

C-section on Tues, milk came in Friday afternoon,
Like @ms.janedoe, I never felt it come in. I only knew that it had because DD spit up milk the afternoon we came home from the hospital which was a pretty good tell tale sign.

DS was born Friday evening, milk started coming in Monday afternoon/evening? I was pumping so I knew due to the change in consistency and color.

Day 4 I think? I had to give her formula the first two days because she wasn't getting enough colostrum and was dehydrated. I was SO happy when my milk finally came in!

Csection Friday and milk came in 7 days later. I never got hugely/painfully engorged (what I was waiting for) but I was pumping to help my milk come in and instead of gold droplets of colostrum it turned into white drops of milk...and the amount of milk was a lot more than the colostrum. I did deal with engorgement and oversupply a few weeks later but I was never painfully engorged for long

Mine came in about 36 hours after birth while I was still in the hospital. I had flat nipples so they had me pumping to draw out the nipple so I knew my milk came in when I pumped and suddenly had a lot more outflow!

I think about day 3-- that was our first doctor's appt and I remember just having gigantic boobs for it. I know I had colostrum before that because I saw it leaking and freaked out because it was bright yellow. But yeah, the morning of the 3rd day it was like big melons on my chest.
I never felt my let down until about 2 months in, now I feel the tingling almost but not quite painful sensation when she starts nursing, or sometimes if I just think about it too much!
