Was your supply similar with Lo2 as it was with Lo1?

I'm sure it's different for everyone but my supply is much better with dd2 versus dd1!

Mine was higher for LO2. I EPed for both so it was more quantifiable. But for LO1 i made around 20-25oz at my highest. for LO2 i made 30-35oz at my highest. i definitely think it was because i was less stressed and knew what i was doing the 2nd time around (kind of)

@regberadaisy: @kodybear: two good news stories so far! With Lo1 I'd say my supply was just right. I never got anything when I pumped (eventually gave up on that) but always had enough for DD. Would be nice to have a little more this time around!

More/easier with LO2!

With both I had plenty just nursing, and a hard time pumping enough for daycare. With LO2 I would say it's slightly better, but at 16 weeks I'm getting about 2 oz every time I pump.

@Autumnmama79: i'd def start pumping early to build up the supply! even just once a day from the start would help! for me, it helped that i started pumping right after my milk came in the 2nd time around. the first time around i was still trying to BF (she had a tongue tie/lip tie so it was painful and inefficient BFing) so by the time i started pumping consistently, my supply already tanked.

I think my supply was just right with LO1- never really had any issues. With LO2 my milk came in with a big oversupply. I just had way too much milk for her to drain so young and I was painfully engorged, and she was only ever getting fore milk so was really uncomfortable. After a few weeks of block feeding I think my supply is just right, but I probably still have more milk than with my first. I still only feed one side per feeding where I always did both the first time.

I've always heard you usually make more with #2 - here's to hoping!

My supply was just right with LO1. I had just the amount that he needed. And pumped just the amount and I needed for the next day. So far with this one, number two, I have had a lot more milk. Lots more engorgement, leaking, and I can pump a ton. I guess it's better to have too much than too little,...

Much better with LO2! I could not make enough for LO1, but had more than enough for LO2 and even leaked so much I built up a decent freezer stash without pumping!

Much better with LO2! LO1 I had to supplement and LO2 I EBF. But with both my pumping output is dismal.

I'm only a month in, but it's way better with LO2! I always felt like I had low supply with LO1 but I don't think that is the case now with LO2.

LO2 was much better. I used to have to supplement a few ounces each night with DS1 since he was a cluster feeder at night and I couldn't keep up. With DS2, we had a rough start but after a few weeks we have been rolling and we haven't had to supplement at all.

C is only 2 months, but i feel like I have more!

Less with 2,but I had crazy oversupply with one, so I took lots of measures to keep it low this time.
