My 13 month old has recently decided that she does not care for sitting in her high chair for meals. And by "does not care for" I mean there is a lot of hysterical screaming/attempting to break free from the safety belt. To be fair, this child has kicked and screamed against any form of confinement (swaddling, carseat, etc.) from very early on, but I'm at a loss as to what I should do here.
My husband thinks we should let her eat while standing from a little child-sized table, as that's what she prefers. I, on the other hand, worry about instilling bad habits and I very much do not want to have the kind of household where the child's wants control everything.
What should I do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
