I wrote a post asking about this a while back... but wanted to get some fresh input.
My mom wasn't able to nurse me or my brother back in the 80s... neither did my most of my aunts on both sides.
I also have an innie on my left breast.
Is breast feeding-ability genetically linked? For those of you who don't/couldn't breastfeed, would you mind sharing why?

My grandmother, mom and both aunts on my mom's side were unable to breastfeed but I was able to breastfeed for a year. So at least for me, it didn't seem genetically linked. I asked them all why they couldn't BF and they said it was because it hurt too much and they just gave up before the milk really started coming in. I almost gave up too (because man it hurt!) but I was so determined to BF that I just dealt with the pain and after a while, my nipples got used to it and I was able to BF for 12 months.

My mom breastfed all of her kids and I wasn't able to breastfeed mine.
