What a genius idea! I'll be reading along for ideas for myself in a couple of years!

I bet the Melissa and Doug stick on sticker reusable things would be fun.

What about a magnetic game/scene? I have seen paper doll versions and under the sea versions where they can set up the magnets on the magnetic background and then the whole thing closes up.

Another idea if you are so inclined would be to get some cute index cards and write various ideas on them- think car game style ideas like rhyming games or giving the toddler funny tasks like find three red things, hop on one foot, spin around ten times.

A puzzle might be good too, I can usually give verbal help to them at that age with puzzles if they need it but they can otherwise be independent.

Oh and a maze book, maybe one of those wipe off ones.

Those cards with holes around the edges and the kids lace string through the holes. Its a good quiet activity. Lots of people throw them in their diaper bag for older kids to play with.

@locavore_mama: Cute! My daughter is 2 and still a bit young but I think by age 3 they should be able to do these pretty independently
