I pump at
9:30 and get 4-6 oz
12 and get 1-2 oz :((
2:30 and get 3-4 oz
4 and get 1-2 oz
My noon session is decreasing like crazy. It used to be 3-4 oz and is now 1-2, what can I do? My 2:30 session has been a little higher but not enough to make up the difference. I need 15 oz for daycare so I've been having to supplement more than I'd like. DS is 7.5 months

Are you making sure that you're getting enough calories? The only thing I could suggest is making sure you're eating plenty and drinking enough. Maybe try a few days of power pumping for your noon session (10 minutes of pumping, 5-10 minute break, 10 minutes of pumping). Are you taking any supplements either?
It can be super frustrating when you're not getting enough milk. I ended up needing to add pump sessions before work and after E had gone to bed. I also pumped on weekends after he went to bed to give me a bit of cushion through the week.

An hour and a half between sessions is a really short amount of time. Were you able to consistently get a lot more before?
I agree with @kiddosc that a night-time pump might be more worthwhile or will help more.

Have you tried eating lactation cookies? They really help me when my supply starts lagging.

Unfortunately, I had to add in pumping sessions when this happened to me!
Try power pumping for an hour in the evening! It's amazing!

@Mrs Green Grass: that last session is just to squeeze in an extra ounce or so to finish out the bottles. I knew it was close together but he eats at daycare then and it always worked before. I really expect nothing out of then if I could get my noon session up id be thrilled. 
@kiddosc: I have an hour at lunch I didn't think about trying to lower pump through it! That should help. :)). Also no supplements currently, I have both fenugreek and more milk plus I've never noticed a big difference but I probably need to be stricter with taking them.
@avivoca: yep, they don't really help me. 
@Adira: j still doesn't sleep so I can't really do evening sessions. I'm lucky if he sleeps 7-10, 10:30-2 and 2:30-6

@jetsa: That's brutal! My only other suggestion is adding pumping sessions immediately after nursing. I ended up having to do that. It SUCKED, but definitely helped.

@jetsa: I would probably still try to fit in an evening session, maybe around 8 or so. At first you probably won't get much of anything, but I'd bet you'd start seeing a difference after your body adjusts.

@jetsa: Ha ha I JUST put up a poll asking people to share what worked for them! I have tried lots of things with my first baby and this one and didn't find much that helped me I have noticed that when I get more sleep I get more for my first pump session.
Thanks to all - I'm going to try adding a pump session in the evenings and will start tonight by power pumping for the next few days.

Are you letting your pump go for 5-10 minutes after your last drop? This will help especially during your lunch break since you've got a stretch of time - it'll tell your body that your pump (i.e. the baby) needs more, so it'll hopefully trigger more production after a few days.
Also, are you massaging during your pumping sessions? I hadn't been until just a few weeks ago, and I definitely saw a big increase in the amount I get at each session. Here's a link with info (warning, boobs, so NSFW): http://newborns.stanford.edu/Breastfeeding/MaxProduction.html
ETA- the other PP mentions also helped me a lot - sleep, plenty of fluids, and sneaking in a quick 20 minute pump before bed or during a nighttime waking if I HAD to have an extra bottle for the morning.

@kiddosc: @indi: @shellio: @Mrs Green Grass: So this pump is now back to less than 2 ounces do you think I should just drop it but that will put me at 5 hours between pumps which seems like a really long time? I get as much at this pump as I do at my 4 pm pump...I don't understand. Every since my last cycle I've not gotten more than 12 ounces and he takes 15 so he is getting formula as well. I just want to be able to continue to nurse indefinitely at home.

@jetsa: I'm having this problem too. I need 12 oz. for daycare and am only pumping 10-11oz. I can only pump twice at work. I thought it was me not getting enough calories, but the only thing that eating more did was make me gain weight, and for the first time lactation cookies didn't help. I started using my back-up pump because I thought my main one got messed up when it fell off a table, but no change. I'm at a loss. I'm hoping I can continue to EBF until 12 months.

@avivoca: my MIL thinks its j's age and my body preparing for weaning but its getting ridiculous, I have to have something to send him with him, 10oz is not enough. I got less than 2 ounces at noon and I pumped that in the first 10 minutes and stayed hooked up for another 20 and nothing, I'm at a loss. I can pump more often at work but it doesn't seem to help.

@jetsa: Can you add a pumping session in the evening and/or on weekends to help with your supply and get the extra you need during the week? I ended up pumping after every feed on the weekends in order to be able to continue providing what Xander needed during the weeks.

@jetsa: If it's 11 oz, I try not to worry since she is getting both water and solids at daycare. Anything less than that and I usually add a pump. She's started refusing some of her bottles if I send 12 oz. It's weird. She's still growing, but it worries me a lot.

@avivoca: this exactly. I just want to make sure he's getting enough particularly on the 3 days I'm home with him bc at daycare they can give him formula if they want but I'll never do that at home. His weight has stalled but he started out so big idk that the dr office will ever say anything (and he's grown taller). I realize I'm in a unique place bc he's had formula and I don't care if he gets it there I'm just pumping to maintain supply when I'm at home.

@Adira: I could but I'm in a unique place I just want to make sure I'm maintaining my supply at work. He's had formula and he eats a lot of solids so I just want to be able to continue to nurse him at home and I only work 4 days/week. I will never give him bottle at home unless I've pumped and he acts hungry after eating. If I haven't pumped I assume he's getting enough and he's a comfort sucker and when he's teething he wants to nurse 24-7

@avivoca: @Adira: talked to my daycare lady today and he's just eating what I'm sending so woohoo! I'm guessing it is decreasing bc solids is increasing, either way I feel better and he's still nursing 5-6 times at home so he's def getting the recommended 24 oz I think.

@jetsa: I KNOW!!!! And breastfeeding/pumping can be sooooooo stressful, so knowing that you're producing enough is always such a relief!
